A dozen people are dead in Paris after Muslim terrorists attacked the office of the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo. The attack was carried out because radical Islamists were angered over a picture of Muhammad was published by the paper.
The Editor and Lead Cartoonist were among the dead. A total of 10 staff members were murdered as well as two police officers. Five more are injured, and the gunmen are still on the loose.
Charlie Hebdo has published numerous satirical pictures of religion over a number of years, including those making fun of Christians and Jews. These pictures did not inspire attacks.
Instead, a picture of Muhammad ignited the cowardly attack. At the scene, the terrorists screamed, “we have avenged the Prophet Muhammad" and "Allahu Akbar."

These guys didn’t blow themselves up. They shot unarmed people, with possible exception of the cops. Shooting unarmed people is cowardly.
BTW, I agree with you about suicide bombing. It is many despicable things, but it’s not cowardly.

Cops might have been armed, depending on the branch they were in. They would, however, probably have been seriously outgunned.

They wanted to go inside, to go upstairs. I entered the code.
“They fired on Wolinski, Cabu ... it lasted five minutes ... I sheltered under a desk... They spoke perfect French... claimed to be from al Qaida.”

Quite right. Though I hope you realize most if not all Freepers take a somewhat less violent approach to expressing disagreement on religious issues.
I've never quite understood those who object to someone believing his is the only true religion.
If two religions disagree, only one can be true. (They could of course both be false.)
What exactly is the point of believing in a religion if you don't think it's true?
To use an obvious example, Jesus himself said only thru Him could people come to the Father. If you believe Him, Jews, Buddhists and Muslims (and atheists) are in trouble.
You are, of course, free to believe He was wrong on this point. But if you do I find it difficult to see in what sense you could consider yourself to be a Christian.

I never intended that Freepers would kill over their religion. The statement was relating to their frame of mind that everyone else is wrong that doesn’t believe the way they do, and I am talking about the so called christians here, the evangelicals, the baptist, the catholics and a few mormons.

One says you are saved by works, one says it’s grace. That sounds just like Muslims who say will should kill those who slander the prophet. That’s what you said.

Cowardly implies fearfulness and timidity.
Because we disagree with them , and are the victims of their attacks, I hate to see the word cowardly used against people who are willing to kill and die for their beliefs. .
