"I was thinking of vacationing in Venezuela, right after my vacation in Syria. After that, I head off to Somolia."Sounds like a plan.
I guess you're saving North Korea, Zimbabwe and Yemen for next year?

Without guns, people are without power. That is why every dictatorship begins with removal of guns from the hands of the people.

"We couldn't find shampoo, so we washed our hair with soap. Now there's not even soap." Well, hair washing and showers are overrated.

Laz, Take a case of TP with you as hold baggage. You could score some of the best “hits” of your life in Venezuela.

Maduro and Venezuela finally reached the socialist utopia achieved by East Germany and the Soviet Union.

Is Bobby Kennedy Jr. going to return some of that oil that Chavez used to send to him to show up George Bush?

I’m really surprised that this guy is leaving the country. Does he actually think that the new government will let him back in a free man :)
But seriously, I’m wondering if he’s crazy enough to actually sell China “futures” on his oil, or even sell some rights to the oil fields. Should be interesting...

Even Russia and Cuba werent this bad.
It depends on “when”. There were clearly times, not that distant, when Cuba and Russia *were* this bad.
I recall, only about 20 years ago, when Cubans were being told not to eat their cows because they were needed to plow the fields, and Cuba had no fuel for its fishing boats.

Please don’t give our resident socialist any ideas. But then again, it’s probably already on his agenda.

Buffalo gourd, soapwort, yucca, and several other plants contain saponins and can be used for soap.
Bidets can reduce the need for TP. If the plumbed-in kind are impossible to get, try a spray bottle. It takes practice.
Hoping I never have to depend on this kind of knowledge, but it’s fun to learn.
