Rebecca Solnit is the most dangerous soul alive. The world that Solnit and her climate revolutionaries seek to save isnt one worth saving.

The lights are going out all around the world — and I fear we shall not see them lit again in our lifetime.

The problem for redistributionists is that capitalism produces the things they wish to redistribute.
Once they kill capitalism, they have nothing to redistribute.
Just ask the idiot running Venezuela how it's working out for him.

If lights are really going out, it’s a foreshadowing of the ultimate light coming here.

The voluntary cooperation of the free market economy is freedom in action. As long as freedom lives in people’s hearts, Capitalism will flourish. It may take some hits, but it will come roaring back.
People have a tendency to think policies of a current, temporary administration like the Obama administration, represent permanent changes. They do not.
AND, in the end, freedom and righteousness, which I believe includes the free market, will win out permanently (I sneaked a peek at the end of the Bible).

Funny how socialism has already been tried and failed in just about every corner of the globe now. Yet they still prop up their strawman called “capitalism” (Marx and Engels devised the term “capitalist system” to make it seem like something that was all-pervasive), which is really the free market and privately-owned enterprise versus state ownership and “redistribution” from the top.

Between bailouts, subsidies, tax breaks, incentives, grants and numerous other financial “gifts” that corporations receive from government at all levels, I don’t know that we’ve ever seen true capitalism.

"Capitalism" is a pejorative term created by the communists to mock those who believe in "free markets". But since capitalism stuck, I will use it.
Truth is...we have not even tried free markets yet. There has always been significant government coercion, even in the United States so she calling for an end to what has not even started!?!

The term Capitalism was invented by its enemies. I think Proudhon ("all property is theft.") invented the term. I think the "Politically Incorrect Guide to Capitalism" suggested the term propertyism to describe Capitalism.

Indeed so. “Abolition of private property” from the Communist Manifesto is one of the left’s absolute, sacred and inviolable dogmas, “abolition of the family” being second in naming but no less in importance to them.

Have fun living on the breadcrumbs of misery from the Socialists, lefties. You were fat and ugly. Now you’ll just be ugly...

The problem for the free market/capitalist side is that there isn't a political party that has the donuts to actually defend and articulate the principles behind this ideology. The GOP appears to be preparing surrender, and can't articulate anything of note as a result.

Why oh why are the Leftists STILL so much in love with France? A country that has failed in virtually all aspects over most of its history?
(Thanks again, great-grandpa for getting the heck outta there!)

If so, then the age of prosperity is over.
