False dichotomy.
I have not seen those anti-cop comments; just wow.
Al sharpton best be sure his car tail lights, tags and such are up to date.
Additionally, law enforcement in the traditional mode, i.e. bust the bad guys, is now hampered considerably by the political correctness of the higher-ups, and is actively opposed by the leftist/statist mob and their sycophants.
Bitch of a job these days. Sooner or later, though, there will somehow be a determination made that one or the other view will prevail. I daresay that, the more the gimmedats and their mobs become recalcitrant and MORE violent, the determination will emerge as either 'kicking ass and taking names' or outright internal civil war.
I'll vote for the former, thanks very much.
They're feeling very happy with themselves tonight.
Smug cowards.
Shut up, kid. Big mouth.
If there is a war as you claim, the other side (the establishment) started it. For what reason(s)? You're bright, and can figure it out on your own.
Unfortunately, both neocons and libertarians sympathize with the violent black underclass for their own foolish reasons. Libertarians (hard-core, ideological libertarians) have a blind hatred of authority, and cannot distinguish between good authority and bad authority. They are simple-minded, one-dimensional people who see any group of troublemakers as allies against The Man. Remember, these are the people who thought it was wrong for our military to bomb al-Qaeda after 9/11. Like liberals, libertarians love accusing anyone who disagrees with them of being a “fascist.” It doesn’t matter how many essays you write criticizing police militarization or the War on (some) Drugs, the hard-core libertarians are obsessed with ideological purity and respond to any statement of “most cops are good people” (which is the truth) with WAAAHHH! YOU’RE THE NEXT HITLER!!!!111eleventyone. The truth is somewhere between the pro-cop side and the anti-cop side, but frankly, especially after today, it’s a lot closer to the pro-cop side.
Neocons may be even stupider, if that’s possible. A neocon’s sole purpose in life seems to be antagonizing his potential allies and kissing up to his enemies. Liberals have zero tolerance for anyone who disagrees with them, especially on racial issues. Instead of standing up to the liberals, neocons throw their fellow conservatives under the bus, spewing hatred at the Tea Party, paleoconservatives, and other groups, accusing them of being horrible racist bigoted Nazis and agreeing with every lie spewed from a liberal’s lips, so long as it is not directed at them. Neocons are the pathetic wankers who make up stories about having black friends or stand in solidarity with illegal Mexican aliens to show how “non-racist” they are. They are obsessed with appearing anti-racist (which is really just a code word for anti-white) and are laughed at by the liberals, who will milk them until their usefulness is over, then toss them aside like garbage. Neocons are like the crazed captain in Moby Dick, forever on the hunt for the Great White Defendant, the next Hitler. When the black underclass begins spewing hatred at the police, the neocons are right there to say, “yes black massa, I hate white cops too.”
There is nothing racist about objecting to your own displacement. There is nothing racist about believing that all races - black, brown, red, yellow, AND white - should each have a homeland they can call their own.
After four years in a majority-black high school and close to thirty years in majority-brown Los(t) Angeles, I’ve *seen* things. Multicultural propaganda has no effect on me.
The cop haters here are alive and well.
They actually search out anti-cop articles and post them, accompanied by the same 3 or 4 tedious jokes.
It’s been going on for a couple of years.
Most annoying, but they seem to get some sort of satisfaction in it. A real turn-on I guess.
.
It’s been 40 years since a black “youth” murdered my uncle.

I notice you provided no link to the article referred to.
I wonder why?
Could it be that there is no evidence there to support your assertion that "top my surprise some here seemed to imply that cops "have it coming." Some wrote insulting comments."?
The closest you can come to that is Uncle Miltie, who posted factual evidence which you disagreed with.
The other war, one even the police may not recognize, is being fought within departments who succumb to the siren's song of militarization. When the police are seduced into thinking extraConstitutional means are the key to law enforcement, they are placing themselves outside the law and alienating themselves from the very people who might otherwise be wholehearted allies.
The overall effect is isolation, and we know enough about Alinsky around here to see that for what it is.
The combination is not a good thing for our culture nor the rule of law. The destruction of the civilian police as a force and as a concept falls right into the plans of the sixties radical types who could not advance the idea in times when the police performed well within the Constitutional constraints. Operating outside those constraints has created incidents which have been used to alienate police from the general public.
There are one heck of a lot of good police out there doing a tough job, but the few who are crooked or who abuse their authority make a bad name for the rest.
Like with gun owners, you only hear about the bad ones, the exceptionally good ones, and those who do nothing extraordinarily good nor bad fade into obscurity.
Prayers up for the families and friends of the murdered officers.
1973...16 cops died at the hands of radicals ...41 years.
God bless those fallen Officers. My prayers for their family.
The posts saying police officers “have it coming” in regards to murder. I have never seen anyone on Free Republic advocate the murder of a police officers.
In fact, I think you are a liar.
