Yesterday, the Senate confirmed in a vote of 52-42 to make a producer of “The Bold and The Beautiful” the United States’ new ambassador to Hungary.
Colleen Bell also contributed almost one million dollars to the President’s reelection campaign, a fact that Senator John McCain repeatedly brought up in a fiery speech on the Senate floor denouncing the President’s nominee.
“We’re about to vote on a totally unqualified individual to be ambassador to a nation which is very important to our national security interest,” he said. “Her qualifications are as a producer of the television soap opera ‘The Bold and The Beautiful,’ contributed 800,000 to Obama in the last election, and bundled more than $2.1 million for President Obama’s re-election effort.”
Senator McCain questioned Bell directly before she was confirmed, asking her what she would do differently than her predecessor. After stumbling and after interjections from McCain, Bell eventually stated that she would “work towards engaging civil society… deeper.”

This is nothing new for any President.
Just the title of “Ambassador,” which she will carry for the rest of her life. Here’s a better question: if $1 million is the going price for a nation like Hungary, how much is Barry charging for more important countries.
And sadly, the “bundlers for ambassadors” controversy is overshadowing the latest round in the IRS scandal. Fox News is reporting that the White House requested thousands of pages in tax documents (read: income tax returns). And when Congress has asked for copies of the documents, the administration turns over thousands of pages that are completed “redacted,” everything on the page is black, to protect the “privacy” of those involved.
It’s no secret that these unqualified ambassador nominees got their vote this week. The WH knew round two of the IRS scandal was coming and needed a convenient distraction.
Now just what the hell did Hungary do to deserve this? Has any President in the history of America ever appointed as many incompetent and insulting ( to the foreign country ) a-holes as ambassador?
I got stuck with Zimbabwe.
No wonder our foreign policy is crap.

Hungary is now in a desperate fight to redefine itself after decades of communist rule and then some adjustmens to misrule and corruption.
Also, the rise of a hardcore Right (in European terms)there with a possible neo-Nazi ideology means that we need a very knowledgeable and experienced career FSO as our ambassador, not another Obama rich bitch bungler, er bundler, to totally fuck up relations with a key ally.
This should have been an impeachable offense as Obama’s game plan is to make America a second-rate, has-been leader of the free world, while acting as an enabler for the forces of tyranny - Russia, Red China, and Iran - to fill in the vacuum and eventually rule the world, directly or indirectly.
Obama has NOT FAILED at his election promises of “fundamentally changing America”. The Marxist-In-Chief is doing a great job as America sinks further into a second-rate nation status, our soldiers die under a No-Win policy and leadership, and the Third World is flooding us with their detritus and criminals.
