Notice how websites who are Big Government advocates never go offline
Update: Breitbart is back online! Courtesy of a heads up from Canada Free Press (CFP) tipster Budd G., Breitbart is offline this morning. Or at least it is offline at the time of this writing.
This is the message people going to Breitbart are getting:
Error 503 Service Unavailable Service Unavailable XID: 682556712 O: (null) GN: ch-sc-bb-shield1

Breitbart.com, one of the most reliable news sites available on the World Wide Web, is surfed by millions of truth seekers who count on the sites accurate news breaking information.

That website is overloaded with popups that overlap each other while I try to get to what I want to read. I go there as little as possible. Too Frustrating.
It locks up my Win 8 tablet every time I go there. A useless site.
Like you, I grew tired of the massive ads loading in the background that freezes my PC.
BB needs to cutout the fat that is slowing their site to a crawl and pissing off visitors.
I agree. My screen is frozen at times when I go there. They need to clean up their act.
Adblock Plus and Ghostery.
Two names:
1. Ghostery
2. Adblock Plus
Just went to the site in question and had no problems whatsoever.
That’s right.
I can’t visit that website at all on internet explorer.
And there’s a few others including Drudgereport that have been giving me loading trouble on that browser.
Google chrome and adblock are wonderful.
No adds, instant load.
beautiful.
*laugh* You must have posted just as I hit the Post Reply button. Guess while I was busy typing you had posted the same info and only saw it when I hit the Refresh button.
Each of us confirmed the other.
Google Chrome with ADBLOCK will stop that.
I will look into both. Thanks for the tip - I like Brietbart but hate the long running script.
To solve that, as soon as the main page loads, I press down the Esc key for several seconds until the autoplayer reports that the player has crashed.
Works until I can find something that stops the autoplay from the outset. NoScript, perhaps?
Works great. Swear. :)
along with the mentions of chrome and adblock, following their twitter feed might do well.
