If you are like me, you have many reasons to be grateful and give thanks this year. Please join me in taking a moment on this day set aside to do so to reflect on how truly fortunate we are and give thanks.

May you all have a blessed Thanksgiving. I hope you enjoy your day and the food, friends, family, furry and otherwise, that make it special.

Because I’m going to be even busier than usual with kitchen chores this year, I’m reposting one of my favorite Thanksgiving  posts, from 2012 (I hope it’s not the scary cat photo!):

you have conferred on my reflective frame

I wish to thank you, Lord,

for the companionship of steadfast comrades

whose wit and wisdom and strength

help steer me through these tempestuous seas

of flattery and lies churned to fury by the ill will of demagogues. Amen.

A special thanks to all who visit here. I wish you all a peaceful, happy Thanksgiving – because there is always, always, always something to be thankful for.

I am unspeakably grateful to God for the wonders and beauty of His Creation. I am likewise eternally grateful for the Salvation and liberty showered upon me through my Lord Jesus Christ, through faith in His Blood.

And I am thoroughly thankful for my material blessings, for a wonderful family and a circle of friends who also love the Lord; plus a group of kind acquaintances who do not yet know Christ as their Savior, but whom I am claiming for Him by faith, on the good ground of His Word: “God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
Praise Jesus!
