Many states offer great elk hunts, but some are tough to draw tags in. I have more than 15 preference points in two states, and am not too optimistic about drawing tags in either, any time soon. But if looking to put meat in the freezer and find bulls in the 280-to-320-inch class or even bigger, here some solid options.
Here's the list of states that Scott offers:
- Wyoming
- Central Montana
- Central Idaho
- Ochoco Mountains, OR
- SW Colorado

We mak’em things more fair by springing Charie Manson out of jail and showing him the way to Scott’s house. Or Scott could fight like s man. No gins. His fists against our antlers. He not only brags about killing my 335 pound cousin but insults him as a “brute” after killing him with military tools. Harrumph!

That kind of talk started just about the time we said we had a right to arm bears. I knew nothing good could come of it.
