Another labeled the speech “a precursor to World War iii.”
The Russkies have been preparing their people psychologically for conflict with the United States for quite awhile. Not without accident is this same message being repeated by every one of Russia’s agents in the media. The guy who runs RT even said awhile back that Russia can “reduce the United States into nuclear ash.”
These are words of a new World War, already being conducted on a covert level against the West, and through Russian terrorist proxies and “separatist” movements. I said this in another thread, that folks from the Russian regime are already talking about “spontaneous” separatist movements forming up within NATO countries like Estonia, and they are ramping up their subversion against all western countries. There are even suggestions that Russia is actively considering using nuclear weapons on a “small” country, just to show that we won’t react to their aggression, and thus legitimize NATO. IOW, to prove that we won’t go to war to defend a country like Estonia or Ukraine, even after turning a major city into ash.
With Obama in charge, I think it’s possible they could be proven right.
It’s not a speech that Americans will understand, given the lamestream news media bias.
If you don’t plop everyone into stereotypes, Americans get confused. “What, Russia wants to develop its own vast resources instead of expand?!”
The GOP now controls Congress.
If necessary, Congress can compel Obama to fight.
Unfortunately, Obama has dismantled the military.
He’s a traditional tyrant with delusions of grandeur. He’s tapped into Russia’s chauvinistic culture. Peal back the onion and you find a shallow former KGB thug, a sixteen-year veteran of the forces that helped keep the Gulag full, a son of a Soviet secret policeman, a man whose stole so much money from the Russian people that he’s one of the richest in the world now. He’s a dilettante, a self-important blowhard, and, sadly, a president for life.
The continuing decline of oil prices is strangling his “world class” military and economy. His people have tasted freedom and western ways and will not go back voluntarily. He is a blow hard communist in the mode of Khrushchev who would rather bluster and bang his shoe than be reasonable. Having said that, we must stand up to him and call his bluffs or he will become Adolph Putin quickly.
Putin, the epic outdoorsman who hunts and rides and fishes shirtless, yet never gets his clothes dirty or wrinkled, or does he ever show any indication of exposure to sunlight, not even on his head and face.
He is unique in ways similar to the North Korean guy.

From his point of view, Russia coming up over $20 short with low oil prices probably does look like a turning point—a steep downward turn.
