Just recently, I am unable to read the comments on American Thinker, Politico, etc. What is going on? Why do I have to "sign-up"? Is this something new?

I know what you mean. You click on the “comments” button and it just stays on the same page. I refuse to “register” with disqus, facebook or any of those. I used to comment on Politico when it had its own registration system.

With some of the more left leaning sites, they block posting and reading if comments are not good for democrats. No kidding! I am banned at The Nation web sight. Too much fun showing the stupidity of both their readers and their writing staff. I can still read the comments though, they use Discus.

Facebook, no; Discus, yes. It gets me onto sites comment boards and emails me followups on the threads, and I’ve never been banned as an undesirable.

I think some of those sites use Disqus to power the comments. If your flash is broken or obsolete it’s possible for the page to load but the comments to not show.

Altziemer’s - I don’t remember what that is, lol. I never had to log in to these sites before to read the articles and comments so I assume it’s something new.

Facebook removed her completely. My wife had posted her pic with a congrats, and several of her friends liked and commented. Later when she logged in, she had the notice of friends commenting, she clicked to look at the comments and someone had removed the entire entry.
