I watched Washington Week in Review after the 1994 Midterm Dem Debacle. After registering shock, show participants sat looking at each other in silence, then started looking at the doors. I think they were expecting Newt's Nazis to kick in the doors and start beating them up.

It’s amazing, but this really does seem to be the mindset of the left. I say this as someone who was a self-identified liberal when I was younger. The start of my journey to conservatism was seeing Gingrich speak when I was an intern for a Dem Rep on Capitol Hill.
