Pray pray and pray some more. I can’t imagine how betrayed the sons and daughters of us feel being ordered to battle Ebola...you know some of them have to believe they are being used as pawns by the demonseed of a president. This is not a time to hope to be right but to pray for miraculous return unscathed.

Ebola served hot and fresh by very recent sweat or snot on a doorknob. Not to mention a sneeze or cough shower spray!

We can’t build 17 treatment centers with 100 beds each, and a 25 bed hospital to treat the African medical staff, and run classes to produce up to 500 medical helpers per week, and handle the logistics for all of this, while standing around guarding some people from Israel.
I would refuse to deploy there, let the chips fall where they may.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Are the protective garments and masks worn by health care personnel treating Ebola patients burned after each use, or are they reused?

If a conscientious nurse becomes infected with Ebola after wearing protective equipment, the correct conclusion is not that protocols were breached. particularly when there are over 450 health workers who have contracted Ebola this year. The correct conclusion is that the protocols are inadequate for this particular strain of Ebola.
It’s the same mistake liberals always make. It’s the same mistake as when they explain global warming as a cause of cold weather and increased ice cover. It’s the same mistake as when they claim job growth is terrible after Obamacare, added regulations on business, and the expansion of FedGov, but the economy would have been even worse without those brilliant and bold moves to protect us. Liberals are certain that they know the answer, and no amount of evidence can change their conclusions.
The most moronic thing I’ve heard since they announced sending USMC over there was either a USMC spokesperson or ranking officer speaking to the press and played over the radio.
He said, to the effect, “Well, this is a little different as it’s not really something we’re trained for. But it’s it’s also different as there’s not anybody shooting at us.”
If I were a family member of one of those Marines, I’d be concerned...very concerned.
