it wasn’t as if the group had been refused at the start..
there was a contract to make shirts..
Ooh! A contract was involved, so they had already committed to do the shirts. Too bad, so sad.
But what if the shirt was for a KKK celebration? If the subject of the contract was considered “racist” would it be okay to cancel the contract? Or if the request was for shirts with the Confederate flag?
If the salesman was a supporter of the confederate flag, but the owner was opposed, would the owner be forced to later make the shirt...even if he were Black?
Hmmm. That does add a wrinkle.
The group wanted to renegotiate the price and had never paid for the work. The contract was apparently not binding.
