STOP ISSUANCE OF VISAS TO WEST AFRICANS
Self Opinion | 10/7/2014 | Self

BLOCK VISAS BEING GRANTED TO PEOPLE IN WEST AFRICAN NATIONS.

WE DON'T WANT TO EVEN BE EXPOSED TO THE EBOLA VIRUS...

It occurs to be from reading various articles and posts on Freerepublic.com that some people including political 'leaders' think it is okay to have Government policies that have caused American citizens to be exposed to Ebola by a foreign national who was allow to enter the U.S. coming from a known Ebola Hot Spot - because they claim that an Ebola outbreak would not occur and/or if it did it could easily be contained. I find this attitude totally empty headed... : Foreign nationals from many places are denied a visa to visit America - denied entry. Yet some how those from Ebola epidemic Hot Spot Countries are not to be told NO! Cannot be told - No you cannot visit your family. It happens everyday to people who do not come from West African Countries.

Americans don't want to even be exposed to Ebola and have even a small chance of catching the disease. Because even the exposure is Not Necessary. Liberians and other West Africans do not have a right to demand they be allowed entry into the USA. And the U.S. Government has no obligation to allow them. Americans want the Ebola virus kept away from America - because there is no reason to have to be exposed to it at all - regardless if it can be controlled or contained. It doesn't matter whether some think an Ebola outbreak cannot happen or if it did it can be controlled. We don't want it inside our country. And if people in other countries have their feelings hurt because they can't visit America --- well too damned bad. The health and welfare of American people comes before the wants and desires of other nationalities who want to visit.

People from West African Nations can be told that visiting America in the near future will require a complete certified medical examination, they can be told that they may have to opt for a 35 day quarantine in isolation if they really want to pursue coming to America. They can be told NO!

I have an American friend here in Thailand, he and his Thai wife have a Thai woman friend who applied to the American Embassy in Bangkok to get a Visa to go to America to present her PhD Dissertation. She was denied - only a few weeks ago... She has not been exposed to a deadly disease. Ebola nor anything like is not endemic to Thailand. She likely was denied because bureaucrats in our State Department firmly believe that Thai women and other Asian women only want to go to America to find a husband and may overstay her visa. Denials have happened many times to Thai women. And for this one fine Thai lady - no one cared if her feeling were hurt.

Liberians are allowed to come to America even though statistics show that about half will overstay their visa. I would bet good money that half of the 13,000 Liberians in Dallas (who knew) are visa over stayers... Mr. Duncan quit his job, lied on a Liberian Immigration form, is poorly educated, offers next to nothing of value to America but is granted a visa... while a Thai women is denied a visa to go to America to present her PhD Dissertation... That's what we have folks - a dysfunctional government.

Bottom Line is - it does not matter if Ebola will take hold in America or not... it does not matter is Ebola can be treated in America and people will survive it... We do not want to be even exposed to Ebola - because it is not necessary ... it can be stopped and could have - should have been stopped months ago... And Americans have a right to demand it.

But we have bleeding heart liberals with no brains making decisions. Making decisions counter to the health and welfare of Americans.

Many of us Americans do know ILLOGICAL policies when we be see them... And there is no logic supporting the U.S. Government's stance on continuing to allow people from West African Countries to enter America... Had such a policy been in place even a month ago ... Mr. Duncan would have never been diagnosed with Ebola in Dallas, Texas.

“Not surprising. A quarantine offers those in it a stark choice, stay and die, run and live”.

No - Not really... It means stay here be observed and we can begin treatment as soon as you show any symptoms - giving you a head start in the treatment process. And by staying here you do not expose others to Ebola... If you don’t show any symptoms after about 25 days so - you and feel relieved and go on about your life - knowing you dodged a bullet this time.

Ahhhh, the difference in perception from being locked inside surrounded by the sick and dying looking out vs being outside in relative safety looking in!

BTW, an outbreak isn’t declared over until a 42 day period (two full incubation periods) passes with no new reported cases.

Your perception of a quarantine is different from mine ... Your vision seems to be a big compound with hoards of the living dead.

You talking OUTBREAK ... an I would agree with that but not an individual case ... max incubation period is under 25 days. If not re-exposed and re-exposed

Read this please ... where isolation and quarantine has been shown to work...

Also a person who has the Ebola virus inside their body but not showing symptoms — as you well know - cannot run away from the disease just because the idea of a quarantine is unpleasant ... run away and die is the outcome.

Airport Security Gaffe Couldn’t Have Made It Any Easier For Ebola To Enter America

CNN’s Senior Medical Correspondent Elizabeth Cohen told Robin Meade on HLN’s Morning Express with Robin Meade that she and her two colleagues were not asked a lot of questions when they returned from Liberia while covering the Ebola crisis.

“I expected that they were going to take my temperature, they were going to ask me lots of questions, but they didn’t.

“I said, ‘I’m a journalist, I’ve come back from Liberia, I was covering Ebola.’ And the gentleman who was helping me, the officer, he started to hand my passport back and say, ‘Welcome home,’ but instead he said, ‘Oh wait a second, I got an email about passengers like you, hold on a second.’

“And he went and conferred with someone and he didn’t know, and they conferred with someone else and in the end he said, ‘You need to watch yourself for signs of Ebola.’ And I said, ‘Well, what am I watching for?’ And he couldn’t tell me.

“Now, as if that weren’t bad enough Robin, I was traveling with two colleagues, a photojournalist and a producer, and they weren’t told anything. And they also said that they were journalists who’d been covering Ebola.

“So we were all kind of shocked and pretty horrified at the lack of screening in U.S. airports, but you know, as we’ve been talking about, that may be changing, they may be doing more to screen passengers who are coming in from west Africa.”

What can you do to force stoppage of bringing West Africans from the Ebola Hotspots into America — to stop the government from issuing visas to Ebola Hotspot residents ... to stop airlines from flying Ebola Hotspot Residents into the U.S. ?

- Incessantly call/fax/email the corporate headquarters all major International Airlines and tell them point blank that unless they stop transporting residents of West African Ebola Hotspot Residents to America - you will work with an effort to BLACKLIST them along with the efforts of millions of other Americans .. And will contribute to any legal fund to help file lawsuits against them for endangering the American public.

- Incessantly call/fax/email all politicians running for national office - 33 Senate seats up for bid and a large number of House seats... For the Democrats - ridicule them for being obama’s lackeys, lampoon their being dominated by obama’s insane policy of continuing to allow West African Ebola Hotspot Residents into America. Demand of all politicians running for office and those that are not this term... demand that they take definitive action to force the CDC, the State Department and Immigration to cease issuing Visas to Ebola Hotspot Residents... The CDC can issue health advisories insisting that travel by Ebola Hotspot Residents is dangerous to American.
