Obama Administration has decided to wage war on business inversions, by declaring companies who wish to move their headquarters abroad to be "unpatriotic", and "tax dodgers"
Ben Casselman penned a piece a year agoin the Wall Street Journal, which documented the decline of risk-taking in business ventures. Hard data showed that both the number of new companies and the use of venture capital is waning. He rightfully suggested that this downward trend is a major contributor to the fact that the recovery from the recent recession is so painfully slow and anemic.
Casselman went on to explain that economists arent entirely sure what is behind the decline and gave some potential causes: health care costs, licensing requirements, an aging population, and an increase in large corporations are among some of the suggestions. While these factors do contribute, Casselman missed the glaring elephant in the room: the government, and her anti-business policies, do more to stifle free business activity than any other than any other single mitigating circumstance. Looking at the article a year later, the situation has continued to decline. Heres how.

If they would lower the corporate tax rate(s) and not leave it so tempting to move elsewhere, that would be a help but I don't see it happening.
Walgreens is staying here for now, forget what was said, but most of their jobs are on the low end of the pay scale anyway.
I think a redefinition is in order.
Patriotic American businesses, that support the *nation* of America, employ Americans to do business here, really just want a “fair shake”. They don’t want to have to compete with foreign countries that use cheap labor and are still subsidized by their countries to take over the US markets. Nor do they want to be soaked with taxes and overregulation.
These are good businesses, of whatever size.
Internationalist, multinational corporations that owe no loyalty to the US, don’t want to hire Americans even if they can, outsource their labor overseas to the cheapest labor markets, yet want unlimited access to US markets, while not even paying taxes here, are scum.
They are bad businesses, and they also try to corrupt our form of government, which they want to be huge, and pay many of their expenses, like health care for their employees. They do not give a damn about America, and would sell us out in a heartbeat.
This latter group also dominate the “US” Chamber of Commerce.
