The ugly history of the Democrat Party Part Two

There is evidence Burr unsuccessfully attempted to get the British to join in his scheme. In late 1806 after an extended stay at the home of his friend, Andrew Jackson, Burr gathered a small army in preparation for an invasion of New Orleans. When it became clear that their “secret” plan was no longer secret, one of Burr’s partners turned on him in February 1807. Burr was indicted for treason and eventually put on trial for one of the highest crimes against our nation.

With the sort of political dirty trick that would become a Democrat hallmark, Burr was acquitted after dining with John Marshall the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court – Marshall would be the presiding judge at Burr’s trial. Moreover, the foreman of Burr’s jury was John Randolph, a known anti-Jeffersonian. Marshall threw out most of the evidence introduced by George Poindexter, the government’s prosecutor. [1]

In the court of public opinion, however, Burr was convicted and branded a traitor who had attempted to conduct a violent overthrow of our fledgling nation.

The heat of public anger was such that Burr had to flee to Europe where he was kicked out of several countries. Upon his arrival in England he tried to generate support for his plot to overthrow Mexico and make it his Anglophile fiefdom but the British were not swayed by his sycophancy and ordered him out.

The records show he used the same approach in Sweden, Denmark, Germany and France – where he appealed to Napoleon. Burr left Europe in 1811, but not after likely leaving the British with the impression that America was NOT a united county and could possibly be recaptured. Is it a coincidence that Burr’s stay in England ended shortly before the War of 1812 between America and England which...

Democrats never change.

Jackson bought support for democrats from Ohio by giving them the Toledo strip thinking he was screwing the Whigs in the Michigan territory by giving them the upper peninsula. In the end, the UP ended up being the far more valuable end of the deal.

As a side note to ugly history of Democrats, Republicans are not without problems either. Neither party respects the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers.

And given that we don’t need political parties to decide policy for the US Mail Service, one of the few constitutional powers that the federal government actually has with respect to regulating domestic issues, I suggest an amendment to the Constitution to prohibit political party support for the federal government altogether.

De-pimped - here’s the entire article:

There is evidence that Aaron Burr unsuccessfully attempted to get the British to join in his scheme.

Upon his arrival in England he tried to generate support for his plot to overthrow Mexico and make it his Anglophile fiefdom, but the British were not swayed by his sycophancy and ordered him out.

The records show he used the same approach in Sweden, Denmark, Germany and France – where he appealed to Napoleon. Burr left Europe in 1811, but not after likely leaving the British with the impression that America was NOT a united county and could possibly be recaptured. Is it a coincidence that Burr’s stay in England ended shortly before the War of 1812 between America and England which centered on New Orleans, the object of Burr’s ambitions?

Burr booked passage on a French ship to sail back to America but the ship was captured by the English. Upon recognizing him, they took Burr into custody until May 1812. Soon afterward, he slithered back into New York City and began building Tammany Hall into the corruption and perversion of American ideals it would be for the next one hundred and fifty years. [1]

In Burr’s final years he followed a pattern familiar to today’s Democrats by becoming a kept man. He married Eliza Jumel, a rich widow twenty years his junior. The pair shared many points of common ground. For example, she was a onetime prostitute who had worked the streets of Providence, Rhode Island and was rumored to have murdered her first husband.

Eliza was also kicked out of France after making overtures to Napoleon to bring him to America. It must have seemed like a perfect match at first. Jumel wanted to marry the former Vice President to increase her social stature and since he was broke Burr needed to marry some money. But after three years the street-wise former hooker realized Burr was bleeding her fortune dry and sued for divorce. On September 14, 1836–the day the divorce became final– Burr died in the St. James hotel on Staten Island. [2]
The Aaron Burr – Andrew Jackson connection

Andrew Jackson was an unabashed enemy of American nationalism. To further his presidential ambitions, Jackson cooperated with the dangerous Aaron Burr and his henchman Martin Van Buren, both of whom were doing the bidding of the infamous British secret service agent Jeremy Bentham.

These four men worked for years to undermine the unity of the United States so the Louisiana and Florida Territories as well as Mexico could be seized by Burr and made into satellites of the British Empire with Aaron Burr as the new nation’s dictator….. TO BE CONTINUED

......stop thinking of the Democratic Party as merely a political party, because it’s much more than that. not just the party of slavery, segregation, secularism, and sedition. Not just the party of Aaron Burr, Boss Tweed, Richard J. Croker, Bull Connor, Chris Dodd, Richard Daley, Bill Ayers, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, and Emperor Barack Hussein Obama II.

Not just the party of Kendall “Agent 202” Myers, the State Department official recruited as a Cuban spy along with his wife during the Carter administration.

Rather, think of the Democratic Party as what it really is: a criminal organization masquerading as a political party. (Excerpt) Read more at pjmedia.com ...

I never cared for Andrew Jackson because of what he did to my ancestors (Trail of Tears), but cut him some slack because of what he went through with the British as a youth during the American Revolution.

Aaron Burr, however, was a scumbag from the word "go!" I believe that I read somewhere that Al Gore is one of his descendants as is Gore Vidal, the famous fudgepacker author.

Democrats can’t win an honest election no wonder they don’t want photo ID cards.

These pieces of legislation were sponsored by a democrat in the Michigan legislature recently. Fortunately they’re all DOA in the GOP controlled state.

House Bill 5787: Allow different drivers license and voter registration addresses
Introduced by Rep. Rudy Hobbs (D) on September 10, 2014, to allow a person to have a different address on their drivers license than the one at which they are registered to vote.

House Bill 5788: Allow different state ID and voter registration addresses
Introduced by Rep. Rudy Hobbs (D) on September 10, 2014, to allow a person to have a different address on their state-issued identification card I.D. than the one at which they are registered to vote.

House Bill 5789: Allow election day voter registration
Introduced by Rep. Rudy Hobbs (D) on September 10, 2014, to allow election day voting registration. Under current law, a citizen must register at least 30 days before an election. An assistant township, city or county clerk would have to be present at every polling place to accept sworn statements that the information in the voter registration application was valid.

House Bill 5790: Mandate landlords provide voter registration information
Introduced by Rep. Rudy Hobbs (D) on September 10, 2014, to mandate that landlords provide voter registration information and applications to tenants when they take possession.
