Hello Freepers - I am asking for some prayers and words of encouragement as I have lost my job and am no looking for a new job.
I'm asking for some prayers. I have seen these prayers requests and have been moved by them. I am not the kind of person who feels comfortable asking for help, but I have never needed help as much as I do know. During the past difficult 6 months or so I have been praying every day, but this is not something that I have been used to. I have been listening to a lot of Christian music lately and have found this helpful.
I am a long time Freeper and have always been moved by the praeyer threads. Thanks.

Been there and can assure you that prayers are heard and answered by our Awesome God. Have prayed a number through who got jobs!
I would go to where there are jobs. North Dakota, Texas, and maybe Arizona. When I was young you went to where the jobs were.
Also talk to your friends and ex classmates for leads.

Prayers going up. If you need a quickie temp job just to pay the bills, Fedex and UPS are hiring temporary workers for the holiday season.
Last year they got slammed and are trying to prevent that this year.

If you move He moves. I have been living on faith for some time now myself (last 2 years) and He has always provided. It hasn’t been easy and it’s tiresome having to hustle more than I ever have in my life but our bills always seem to get paid even if just barely. Maybe He has a better job in store for you. Prayers sent your way.

My minister recommended Julie True CD which is soaking music. During prayer time I am able to let the worries of the day go and open my ‘inner ears and eyes...aka my spirit’ to listen for my answer or just take the daily stresses away. Let Go and Let God!!! You are taking a great first step with asking others to pray for you. In our church (Methodist) we have Stephen Ministers who you can submit privately or publically to them your needs and they will pray for you! We have discovered recently the power of laying on of hands for all kinds of healings!!!
So, may your prayers to God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be answered for work that are above even your desires by the mighty power of the Holy Spirit who will lead you in every good way! Be Blessed and at peace!
P.S. YES, isn’t it nice to hit these prayer threads with most of the ‘news’ being something negative??!!!
Spiffy- prayers up for you! I humbly suggest reading the Bible a bit and get closer to God.
When “bad” things happen in my life my Christian friends often tell me that they believe God is trying to get my attention- trying to shape me into the person He wants me to be. I find reading His word to be calming and prayer a must. If you have Christian friends that live near you then reach out to them for support.
Have faith that God is working in your life. Have hope that a better day is on the horizon. Remember that His grace and mercy are new every morning. Be most thankful to Him as well.
