"Spanking Is Great for Sex"
Once again, I’ve been accused of pedophilia. Well, to be technical, my sexual identity was called “somewhat pedophilic.” But we’re talking about one of the most loathsome things a person can be accused of, so why split hairs? I’m also regularly told that my sexuality is “repulsive,” “damaged,” and “abusive.” But all of those feel like Valentines compared with “pedophilic.”
People say this to me so often because I’m kinky, and I’ve written about it. I have a spanking fetish...I’ve had submissive fantasies for as long as I can remember, and it’s part of my identity. I consider my kink to be my sexual orientation.

So I have a question: If it’s “somewhat pedophilic” when my adult husband consensually spanks me in a simulated “punishment,” what should we call it when parents do the same physical thing to actual children in an actual punishment?

Clinging to “spanking” is one of the great blots on “conservatism.”

A swat on the fanny to get a small child’s attention is useful. A “spanking,” i.e., a beating, administered as a punishment (”Wait till your father gets home.”), destroys a parent’s relationship with a child, and shows that the parent is out of ideas. A spanking administered spontaneously because the parent has reached a certain level of anger, is violence and child abuse, pure and simple.
Millions of parents have raised moral, disciplined, well-behaved, productive children without spankings.
That assertion is based on how many studies? Let me guess. None.
Jails are loaded with men who had the tar beat out of them until they got too big to stop it.
Fatherlessness is the main reason for this country’s jail population.

Unless she repents, she will one day have to face Jesus and then spend eternity in Hell being punished.
According to God’s Word, she is guilty, and one day her life will be over, and then if she turn from sin and didn’t trust Jesus as her Savior she’ll face judgment and Hell.
I go by the Bible, and the problem with physical discipline is that if that’s the only way you sort of follow God’s Word, but the rest of the time you’re worldly, your children will not understand how physical discipline (and it should clearly be discipline, not abuse) fits into God’s picture. And there is a place for it. There is Hell, a place of physical torment, and clearly today this generation in places like the U.S. has nearly COMPLETELY lost the fear of the Lord. Gone, gone, gone, so that people can’t fathom being eternally torttured, but they clearly do evil. Even in the Church such thinking is creeping in more and more. Praise Jesus, and chat about what pornography you like.

Christians are entrusted with a certain amount of judgment, which includes not hiding their light (the truth that they know that is the Gospel) and not ignoring the spiritual state and the promised end of those who don’t repent of their sins and trust Jesus as their Savior. However much people are able to put it out of their minds with distractions and comforts here, judgment is what the Lord says is coming for everyone.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. (John 3)
God’s Word says the sexually immoral will not inherit the kingdom of Heaven. I see nothing in the thoughts of this woman that at this time shows she is open to the Lord, and that omission is decisive. In reading what she says, one has to tentatively conclude that she isn’t saved, and so if nothing changes, then according to the Word of God, she is bound for Hell.

I hope there is a special slum in Heaven for the self appointed spiritual traffic cops directing who goes where in the afterlife.

Agreed. A little slap on tush or hand (I like hand - far away from privates) on a three to six year old is a way to wake up attention to “having gone too far” with poor decisions. I feel like if you need to do it around those years, you won’t later on. Also, one of my four didn’t ever need it. A sharp word melted him. He never needed a little swat ever. But some do. And then never again after around age 6. After that, there are more ways to reason or come up with consequences that work better.
The last thing I want is to oppose God. His message includes mercy and forgiveness, but also judgment. I don’t have the wisdom on my own to see how either apply in any situation, so I go to Him for that wisdom. He knows and understands all, which I know that I certainly don’t.

Re: Michael DiPalma Sentenced
Michael David DiPalma appeared today in Jefferson County Court and was sentenced to Intensive Supervision Sex Offender Probation for a period of ten years to life and two years in the county jail. The 33-year-old former day camp teacher pled guilty on January 25 to Sexual Assault of a Child, a class four felony.
Michael DiPalma, who now lives in Centennial, worked at a Lakewood recreation center teaching Elementary Engineering Using Lego and Elementary Robotics Using Lego in July 2006. One of the students, an 8-year-old boy, was singled out by DiPalma. The boy was given a sticky note and told to make a checkmark on it every time he didn’t follow DiPalma’s instructions. The boy was told he would receive a spanking for each check mark. On July 27, 2006, when the other children were on lunch break, DiPalma lured the boy to his car and put him into the back seat. DiPalma then drove to the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex then climbed into the back seat with the boy. He put the boy on his lap, pulled down his pants and spanked him 20 times on his bare buttocks. The spanking left marks and DiPalma told him not to tell or that he would go to the boy’s house and spank him harder. When the boy’s mother picked him up at the end of the day, he told her what had happened. The family reported the incident to the Lakewood Police Department.
DiPalma’s case went trial in September, 2006 but the jurors were unable to reach a unanimous verdict.
The jury heard evidence that in May 2006 DiPalma had worked for a company called “Computer Tots’, teaching an after-school class at Steck Elementary School in Denver. In that class he asked the second graders to vote on which of them should be spanked. He spanked at least two 7-year-olds before his employment at Steck Elementary was terminated.
Court records also indicate that DiPalma had been accused of unlawful sexual contact of a child, kidnapping, and false imprisonment in 1999 in New Mexico. The boy and girl who were named as victims in that case were 10-year-olds and they did not know DiPalma. He was given a deferred judgment and probation.
DiPalma was remanded to the custody of the Sheriff following the sentencing. He will be required to register as a sex offender.
