All these years, I've been an enabler...

I hold the door for men or women - it's basic courtesy. I'll flip your absurd statement and and say those that don't extend common courtesy to others hasten the slide of our society into the abyss.

I usually do the “push the door out of the way” motion for most people, which reduces needless inconvenience but requires other people to pay some attention to their surroundings. Anyone who has their nose in a phone the whole time deserves to get hit in the face by the door; if you hold the door open for that person, you absolutely are an enabler and should feel ashamed.
