” acted without informing Washington or seeking its consent, leaving the Obama administration on the sidelines.”

Notifying zero would have been bad.
He’d have tipped off the badguys.

What is really interesting is that the UAR is attacking the militants, while Qatar is supporting and financing them. The two countries are only about 30 miles apart, and are small oil-rich sheikdoms on the coast of the Arabian Gulf. You would think they would be similar in their policies, but apparently they are not.

Whichever Tyler Durden this one is, is he really so dense that he cannot discern WHY they would not notify Sultan Hussein’s gang ahead of time?

Egypt and UAE working together - and didn’t even inform the US, let alone ask us to join or ask our advice or permission - Obama has made us not only irrelevant, but untrusted and considered unreliable in foreign affairs - and his administration thinks we’re now more respected around the world than when he came into office - what a farce.....

“It is almost as if the theme of ignoring and/or mocking US superpower status exhibited most recently by both China and Russia, is gradually spreading to even the more “banana” republics around the world.”

“Almost as if”??

Has this reporter been living in a bubble for the last year???

Could stating this inconvenient truth eventually cost him his job?

How f***ing strange things have become when obama purposely turns a Muslim country on its head, handing it over to the chaotic forces of Islamists, while Islamic countries like Egypt are the sensible ones looking to support more pragmatic and secular forces in that same country.

Only in Obamaland.

ISIS was originally ISIL (Islamic state in Levant) and I wondered why US media changed to saying ISIS...

Now I kmow- so they wouldn’t be confused with Obama’s planned Islamic State Of Libya!

"...leaving the Obama administration on the sidelines. "

Sounds like a sound plan.

Why should foreign governments doing something good run anything past the totalitarians in the U.S.A. (United Socialists of America). These criminals would screw up your country like they’ve screwed up this republic.

Maybe I’m missing something, but why the hell should upcoming and strengthening countries feel compelled to answer to us, anymore than they should answer to England, or Portugal? We are a HAS-BEEN nation, such as those other former superpowers, in the process of disarming (to pay for food stamps) and letting the UN control us - they have EVERY RIGHT to act in their interests and don’t owe a phone call, not by a LONG SHOT.
