I think that the dog looks much worse than just cowering, which I assumed from the git-go. His whole body just looks deformed, in comparison to his head. This is a normal German Shepard Dog-

He’s cowering, bewildered and terrified.

I’ve seen that pose in lots of rescue/shelter dogs.

Can you even imagine what he’s feeling right now?

Poor dog.

No, some ShepHERDS have that body type. Looks part German show, to me. The head is coming at you, and it is held tight with the collar pulling up the neckline; optical illusion. Roach-looking back is dead giveaway to show German type. My sister’s last GS was pretty poor looking, supposedly all german show lines. The skinniness made me think he might have some American show in him.
