Obama:Extremist Ideology That's Taken Over GOP Balkanization of Media Has Blocked My Agenda
Breitbar - Big Government ^ | 8-10-2014 | Matthew Boyle

(snip) “What you’ve seen with our politics, partly because of gerrymandering, partly because of the Balkanization of media so people just watch what reinforces their deepest biases, partly because of big money in politics, is increasingly politicians are rewarded for taking the most extreme, maximalist positions,” Obama told the liberal Times columnist. “Sooner or later, that catches up with you. You end up not being able to move forward on things we need to move forward on. We need to reform our immigration system. That would be good not just for our domestic economy but for our position in the world. You travel around Latin America—nothing would more reinforce an admiration for the United States than us doing that. We need to rebuild our infrastructure. You go to the Singapore airport and then you come back to one of our airports and you say, huh? We’re not acting like a superpower.”

“It’s like going from the Jetsons to the Flintstones,” Friedman agreed.

“Exactly,” Obama concurred. ......

More Marxist rhetoric.

And once again he compares us to another country and the other country is better in his opinion.

Friedman is the media drone who a few years back rhapsodized about the efficiency of one part rule in china. He’s a not-so-closet fascist.

I'd never run across the term "maximalist" before but Obama used it several times in this softball interview to attack his opponents.

It does not mean the opposite of "minimalist".

I wondered if he really meant "populist" but he used the word "extreme" before it.

Funny thing is, under Marxist theory there is this term suggested by wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maximum_programme

In Marxist theory, a maximum programme consists of a series of demands which will achieve socialism.

The concept of a maximum programme comes from the Erfurt Programme of the SPD, later mirrored by much of the Socialist International. The maximum is contrasted with a minimum programme of immediate social demands. In the short term, parties were to pursue only the minimum programme of achievable demands, which would improve the lives of workers until the inevitable collapse of capitalism. These groups believed that the achievement of a minimum programme would enable them to become mass parties and pursue their maximum programme.

The Communist International developed the alternative idea of transitional slogans, seeing the minimum/maximum division as leaving social democratic parties always campaigning only for their minimum programme and not clearly planning a route to achieve their maximum programme, though the eventual Programme was more in line with a maximum programme than with transitional slogans.

(from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maximalism Maximalism From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article is about the artistic term. For the Marxist concept, see maximum programme. For the political ideology, see Revisionist Maximalism)

Revisionist Maximalism
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Revisionist Maximalism was a Jewish fascist ideology which was part of the Brit HaBirionim faction of the Zionist Revisionist Movement (ZRM) created by Abba Ahimeir.[1][2] Revisionist Maximalists strongly supported the Italian fascist regime of Benito Mussolini and wanted the creation of an Israel based on fascist principles.[3] The Revisionist Maximalists became the largest faction in the ZRM in 1930 but collapsed in support in 1933 after Ahimeir's controversial decision to support Nazi Germany due to its fascist and anti-communist stances, while opposing their antisemitic policies. After facing outrage, Ahimeir reversed his position shortly afterwards, with Revisionist Maximalists attacking German consulates, but support for Ahimeir did not recover and the Revisionist Maximalists collapsed until they were recreated in 1938 under new leadership

Also I saw this definition (without nature of origin):
max·i·mal·ist
/ˈmaksəməlist/
noun
noun: maximalist; plural noun: maximalists
1.
(especially in politics) a person who holds extreme views and is not prepared to compromise.
adjective
adjective: maximalist
1.
of or denoting an extreme opinion.

All of it sounds of the hard left.

As if Citizens United means anything to a crook who campaigned for millions in foreign funds sent through his website and the phony “sweepstakes” tickets he was selling as well (state attorney generals gave him a cease and desist in 2008 but let him pass in 2012).

Shut up Barry. Quit the whining and do your job. You think the current Obama-loving “media” is Balkanized, you ain’t seen nothing. Those bass turds portrayed George Dubya as being Adolf Hitler incarnate.

Well, Damn!
I'm sure glad something did!

Because, frankly Barack, your "agenda" sucks!

Ah, thank you for the research.

Embarrassing that I didn't pick up on that term.

If you know about “Rev.” Wright, you knew that wasn’t gonna happen. If you knew about Eric Holder, you knew that wasn’t gonna happen. If you knew anything at all about Michelle, you knew that wasn’t gonna happen. If you read even excerpts of his (Ayers) books, you knew good and well that wasn’t gonna happen!

Hmm....the Denver airport cost $1.7 billion - that airport in Singapore was only $1.47 billion.

Singapore airport probably didn't require union contracts for every little detail of construction.
