After the McCain fiasco I typed up an invoice and itemized all the donations I had made over the last couple years and sent it back demanding re-payment for breech of contract and listed my terms. I have not heard back and have not received any other fund raising mail.

Good for you. But it will not matter to the Ruling Class.

The GOP leadership has embraced Fascism and now gets more money from corporate lobbyists than from their constituents, and as we saw in MS< they can and will simply chart and steal elections to ensure their boys always remain in power and grow government.

The GOP Ruling Class are the Conservatives’ Judenrats for the MarxoFascists.

Did it to a phone solicitation for gop-e fund raising. Told them the “appropriate” local candidates would receive support but as far as the national fund raising......NADA! The poor guys said he’d been getting a lot of negative feedback from his calls. Hopefully it will move up the chain but I’m not too hopeful.

Muchas gracias for affording me another opportunity to post this old chestnut for any who STILL think the Beltway GOP Banditos are their friends.

I’ve posted this around the net a number of times and do so again inasmuch as THIS is a constantly recurring problem and some may not grasp how widespread it is. And now that the RNC has OPENLY declared war on the Tea Party, it should be clear to all why I have for a few decades cautioned my many friends to NOT SEND THE RNC – or ANY NATIONAL GOP OPERATION BASED WITHIN 100 MILES OF D.C. – A NICKLE.

Over the years – when, to steal a line from Billy Joel, I wore a younger man’s clothes – I was involved with several pretty solid conservative candidates for Congress. One was a Democrat (Lawrence Patton McDonald) – because that was the only way he could win in that district. Those old-timers who know Larry’s record will tell you that he was a solid an anti-communist America Firster and more Republican than the Pubbies in nearby districts at the time. (His mother’s cousin was General George Patton from whom he got the middle name – and his incredible resolve and love of this country.) How ironic that he, like General Patton, was also assassinated by the communists they both despised. It was my honor to introduce Larry at his last public speech in the district before that ill-fated KAL007 flight!

Those other candidates ran as Republicans and each had to pass my rigid litmus test or I went looking for someone who did. For that reason, I hooked up with what the TRADITIONAL country club Pubbie establishment types believed were too radical for their refined tastes. I served as treasurer for several and in other capacities for more.

As those campaigns began to unfold and it became clear to the country clubbers that these guys 1) had a shot and 2) were pretty independent thinkers who would be hard to keep on the reservation once they got sworn in, the local Pubbies communicated that information to the Republican National HQ types who rather quickly sent in campaign “professionals” ostensibly to lock up the impending victory.

Instead, in nearly every case to which I was privy, these “professionals” proceeded to TORPEDO our guy’s campaign in subtle but effective ways.

From that experience I can tell you that the Pubbies at the HQ in D.C. would rather have a Democrat win a given district than have a pubbie up there who would embarrass them by refusing to follow the party line.

If YOU become involved in campaigns for solidly conservative, America and Constitution loving, hard-nosed, independent thinking candidates in 2014 and beyond – and I pray many of you do — please DO NOT trust any of those folks from GOP HQ in Washington. If they want to send you no-strings cash for your campaign, take it. If, however, they “suggest” sending in one of their “professionals,” tell them to fuggetaboutit.

They ARE WHO GOT US INTO THIS MESS AND THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS!!!!

“The common and continual mischief of the spirit of Party is
sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to
discourage and restrain it.” G. Washington

(BTW, My genealogical research informs me that my 5th great-grandfather, one John Carpenter, was one of George Washington’s Virginia neighbors and fought with GW in the French and Indian War and the Revolution. Prior to that, John traveled with GW during his survey of the Northwest Territories.)

Unless you in charge of the Chamber of Commerce, the GOP doesn’t really care about you or your money. You are viewed as small potatoes compared to the big money.

I did basically the same thing. I received a fund request last week with prepaid return envelope! Loaded it up with literature marked Taxed Enough Already! No money for you!
I frequently get no name calls on my cell, and don’t answer. Last week one came in identified as GOP! Nice enough guy, but I told him after Cochran and the other GOPe I would not be donating, he was understanding!

I just happened to notice that I’ve been at FR for six years. I realize that makes me a n00b to most of you, but it sure feels like some sort of an accomplishment from this end. Heh!

I’m so proud of your push back to the RNC!

Honestly, I feel sorry for those who must be desperate to even hire on to make those RNC calls.

By now, I have to suspect the RNC donor base is no one but the deep pockets Establishment and rubes, who are either socialists or too ignorant to be voting at all.

I don’t know how many others have had this happen, but probably a lot-— I received a large envelope from RNC and it was registered mail requiring a signature by the post office. I just signed as receiving and I then noticed who sent it. The postage paid was around 4.00 to 5.00, I for get.

Needless to say, they never got the money requested.

Registered, expensive, junk mail!

Fantastic!!! I’ve sent back similar responses to the RNC but they’re no match for your’s. The “GFY” annotation was an especially nice touch.

I don’t think the GOP will ever get the message, much less ever respect the conservative viewpoint, but you did a great job and spoke for many of us. Thanks.

A reassuring note to all.

The “big money” backers are willing to dump money into the GOP-e, but *only* if the GOP-e can match it with individual contributions. And this is key. If the “big money” realizes that they alone are throwing money down a rat hole, suddenly they get very cost conscious.

In other words, the GOP-e is *desperately* in need of suckers, because if they can’t make their quota from them, the well quickly runs dry.
