In only six days from now the mainstream media will deluge us with the trite eye candy of Obamas 16-day Marthas Vineyard vacation.
Pictures will depict Obama playing the game he likes best after the one called Dismantling the USA, golf; slurping a shaved ice or two with his girls or noshing on the shellfish for which Massachusetts is famous.
His motorcade will cause upheaval in the lives of the good people of Marthas Vineyardjust for show.

within feet of the river. Have been sitting here watching the border

there’s a very low chance they’ll get infected.
it’s not like they’ll come into contact with any of the ‘lowly people’ that will be carrying it. and everyone inside the security bubble will be constantly screened
i’d bet they’re watching IR scans of people going thru security to find anyone with a fever
What is the problem? You’d rather he not be on vacation?
Never in my life have I heard the words noshing and shellfish in the same sentence.
I was thinking she used that word sarcastically — because the fawning media loves to write how Barry is “noshing” on so-and-so.... I had rarely heard the word used before his regime. And, before his incessant shoveling of ice cream and other junk food into his mouth.
Any time I see an outlaw biker with the patch saying “FTW”, I will think of barack obama.
“I had rarely heard the word used before his regime. “
I’m 81 and have used the word “noshing” my entire life. It’s Yiddish.
Might be a regional thing. (Eastern MA here)
.
I think the word comes from Yiddish, so it’s something I grew up hearing often in New York, and because of its origins I had never heard of anyone noshing on eminently non-kosher food. I don’t know that there’s much need for the word outside its origins. It’s mostly covered by the word snacking.
Ah..... I’m a GenX Western girl :)
Oh, interesting — thank you! (I just thought it was some fad word that the media loved to use with Barry!)
