I’ll tell you why I don’t DISlike him instead:

Justice is supposed to be blind. Jesse got his justice despite the fact he was robbed by fate when his detractor was killed.

Jesse didn’t decide the verdict, neither did the judge. A jury decided. That’s the system.

Jesse didn’t sue a widow and her children. He sued the estate of somebody who caused him some sort of pain and damage. The women and the children had nothing to do with it — except they were the holder of the Estate Jesse was suing.

The fact that the estate was insured (apparently) for errors and omissions on the book is irrelevant. Had she had zero $, and no insurance, Jesse still had the right to sue. I must respect that right and that verdict.

I refuse to knowingly be a hypocrite. Some of you gnashed your teethe and pulled your beards when OJ Simpson was found not guilty, but then you cheer and congratulate yourself and the system when Joe Blow Blackguy is executed over the course of 4 hours for a heinous crime he committed and found guilty by a very same jury.

I tell you I like him for the very same reason I told everybody I like Ronald Reagan when those around me were saying horrible things about him, or I tell family at large gatherings I like Sarah Palin when they start in on her in the horrible liberal fashion of today. I tell you for the very same reason I stood up on a bus with 6 or 7 black adults and said I like George W. Bush and I think he’s intelligent and good for the nation — after they were all Jollying and laughing while telling ‘he’s so dumb’ Jokes about George W. Bush.
