Jesse Ventura, on Tuesday, was awarded a $1.8 million settlement in a defamation lawsuit he filed against slain Navy SEAL and American Sniper author Chris Kyle. The former Minnesota governor has alleged that Kyle intentionally lied when he claimed that he punched him in a bar after he said the Navy SEALs deserved to lose a few.
Ventura was asked Wednesday what he plans to do with the nearly $2 million that will come from the Kyle estate on CBS This Morning, with one of the anchors mentioning that it will be taken from Kyles widow, Taya, and two children.
Pay my lawyers, Ventura said, never revealing if his attorney fees really had accumulated into the millions. Like I said, I didnt have an insurance company paying the freight for me, I had to pay my own.

“Jesse regularly attended the reunions “
So much for honoring those that honored him. Teammates don’t sue widows of dead teammates.
If he was accepted at the meetings he would feel that, and not like he has to watch his back.
I think its too late to salvage any kind of reputation out of this. He just made Jerry Springer look righteous.
It doesn't get any lower than that. I hope he loses his ass in the Appeal.
Most likely he'll run to Mexico to avoid paying his Attorneys, then
everybody will see the real coward we know him to be.
It is being appealed. FOX announced it today.
On Gretta.
Sheesh...his own words damage him more than anything.
If the SEALs thought he was misrepresenting himself, he never would have been allowed to attend their conventions, much less honored by them and by Naval Special Warfare.
Heres what Brandon Webb, a former Navy SEAL who has no fondness for Ventura, said. I can find plenty of other similar statements by former SEALS:
Ive heard the speculation and gossip about Jesse Venturas Navy SEAL status and wanted to set the record straight. Jesse Ventura graduated with Basic Underwater Demolition Class 58 and, like it or not, he earned his status. Some say hes a UDT (Underwater Demolition Team), and not a SEAL, but thats bullshit.
Others have seen the flaw in this analogy, and mentioned in private SEAL forums, try telling that to a WWII UDT veteran who swam ashore before the landing craft on D-Day. The UDTs and SEALs are essentially one and the same. Its why the UDT is still part of the training acronym BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL).
Like it or not, Jesse Ventura is a Navy SEAL. He did the pushups and put up with the cold water, just like the rest of us
How many times do we have to go down this road? Ventura is and always has been a seal.
Amen, he is a seal but he is still an a^^hole:)

LOL. That you did!
Invest in a nice tight garage door, then sit inside the garage in a gas-guzzler with the engine running.
I hope the first Seal that decks him gets it on video.
Coleman lost to Ventura because of Dean Barkley, a disgruntled former Republican who ran as an Indy and sucked 11% from Coleman along with Minnesota’s idiotic same day voter registration law that got Minnesota’s yutes to vote for him late in the campaign after some freakshow debate Jesse put on.
We all know how the Stuart Smalley thing worked out. Who finds uncounted ballots in the trunk of a car? DFLers do.
So in other words, Coleman couldn’t get over the margin of fraud.
Still that is pretty lame.
“How many times do we have to go down this road? Ventura is and always has been a seal.”
Stomp your feet and throw a temper tantrum, doesn’t change the fact that Jesse the Wussy never a SEAL.
Ventura was the keynote speaker at a BUD/S graduation class. He was given an award by the SEAL UDT-SEAL Association. I don’t think either would have happened if they thought he’d been falsely misrepresenting himself as a SEAL.
When Jesse was governor, Naval Special Warfare, because of questions about whether he was a SEAL, released a statement saying he was. The statement said that attempting to distinguish between UDTs and SEALs was semantics and in any event Jesse served in a reserve SEAL unit after he left active duty.
Capt. Larry Bailey, who spent years uncovering phony SEALs, said Jesse had a legitimate claim to be a SEAL.
No matter what you think of the man he completed BUD/S and completed what would later be known as SEAL qualification training and was given the trident.
For every pot there is a lid.
Courtesy of Marcus Luttrell I believe?
...or he got it off the Internet and Tweeted it out.
I believe Ventura just bumped Justin Bieber from world's biggest douche bag!
