On Wednesday, before the Senate EPW Committee, EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy had this priceless quote regarding the EPAs proposed carbon dioxide regulations (italics added):
And the great thing about this proposal is it really is an investment opportunity. This is not about pollution control. Its about increased efficiency at our plants
Its about investments in renewables and clean energy. Its about investments in peoples ability to lower their electricity bills by getting good, clean, efficient appliances, homes, rental units.

“My corn, soybeans and wheat are sucking up tons of CO2,and loving it.Send more.”
Keep talking like that and they will start taxing the receiving end of CO2 as well.
I find it hard to believe the EPA is really concerned about my electric bill.
NO MONEY for the a####les in 2015. Or we’ll find actual conservative Republicans who will turn off the money spigot in 2017.
BULLPUCKY!!!
unintended consequences of government regulations
Have you even wondered why a ac unit evaporator coil won’t last 20 years like they used to. When the gouv. required 13 seer efficiency on AC units the manufacturers had to make the copper thinner. Now they don’t last 6 years and spew thousands of tons of refrigerants to the air costing consumers thousands for a replacement that still won’t last 6 years.
OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
“Am I going to get an annual $2,500 savings in my energy bills to go along with my $2,500 in Health Care savings?”
Priceless.
Making electricity even more expensive will force people to buy more energy efficient devices. It is not the governments job to force people to buy things they would not need if the government did not make prices rise artificially.
>> “ This is not about pollution control.”
A statement of deemphasis — not an admission about some concealed awareness CO2 isn’t a pollutant.
These tyrants believe their BS. Simply being conniving a-holes would be an improvement.
