He says I urge those who quickly dismiss immigrants as "lawbreakers" to get to know some of these beautiful people and their stories of unimaginable hardship, extreme poverty and danger that compelled them to come to the United States. The Bishop, could also go spend a few months in Chicago, where there is unimaginable hardship, extreme poverty and danger and using Chicago as an example it is no different from these 3rd world countries he speaks of.
Ambulances from one West Side shooting scene flew by another around midnight Friday as another Chicago weekend began with 22 people shot including a 11-year-old girl who was killed -- in less than 12 hours.
The sirens drowned out conversations at a scene on Gladys Avenue just east of Pulaski Road where a 10-year-old girl was shot in the head and taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she pronounced dead at 7:33 a.m.http://apps.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-scene-of-the-crime-11-year-old-girl-killed-gallery-20140719/

The Catholic can have their welfare state, or they can have their open borders, but they can't have both... for very long.
If the Bishop is so concerned about the poor of other countries, he should go their and help fix those countries.
But he's a lazy coddled twit who thinks that being generous with other peoples' money makes him holy.

.. undocumented children and families who are our neighbors, service providers, co-workers and friends are among those most in need. NO - They broke the law when they cross the border without following immigration procedures: Law-breakers are NOT "in need."

So should we welcome every catholic from any land to come here and live off of our taxes, Bishop? Why only Catholics? Don't Muslims “yearn to be free” and suffer hardships where they are now? And Hindus ... what about Hindus? And Satanists? And Voodoo practitioners? Atheists? Scientologists? Pagans? Wiccans? Cannibals? Zoroastrians?

Please don’t ‘misunderstand.’ He means secure the border and detain illegals.

What is the frenzy to pass more immigration laws that won’t be enforced by any RINO or democrat?
Our immigration system isn’t “Broken”.
Our enforcement system is what is broken.
We have lawbreakers for leaders who think they are above the law and don’t care who sees them break the law on a regular basis.
They believe that the constitution, our laws, and their oath of office don’t apply to them - those things are just minor impediments to them as they do whatever they want.
Barack Obama is the worst lawbreaker by far, but not the only one.
Every congress and senate since Reagan left office, along with presidents Bush 43, Clinton, and Bush 41 have been arrogant, lying weasels when it comes to enforcing immigration laws.

Yet, this will require that we all look beyond fears and false rhetoric to find common ground. So those of us who wish to secure our nation's borders are operating out of fear and speaking false rhetoric. Got it.
