Dinesh DSouza, the man behind the controversial new documentary America, jumped into the lions den today with an appearance on MSNBC, facing off against Ed Show guest host Michael Eric Dyson and panelists Eric Boehlert and Zerlina Maxwell over slavery, Americas comparative ills in world history, and whether President Obama is a dangerous radical.
DSouza contended that people exaggerate past sins like taking land from Native Americans and slavery. Dyson challenged him on slavery, arguing it was worse (to a degree) when America did it because there was actually religious justification being trotted out. DSouza pointed out there were free black slave owners back then, and furthermore, slavery was abominable, but the United States fought a great war to end it.
Boehlert challenged DSouza on another issue hes raised: Obama and Hillary Clinton are radicals influenced by Saul Alinsky tactics. Boehlert said DSouza completely misrepresents liberalism and makes out Obama and Clinton to be these monsters of the left.
DSouza insisted that Obama was strongly influenced by and admires Alinskys tactics, while Clinton had an actual relationship with him, and so the criticism is perfectly legitimate.

You couldn’t pay me good money to go on that racist, Stalinist hate network.
The total death count of that war from all causes was roughly 750,000.
He’s a very brave man.
Yes he is and he takes the fight to the uninformed and the enemy alike when he goes on these forums.
D’Souza is one of those very smart people who speak well and enjoy a lively debate. He will not be easily scared into silence. He reminds me somewhat of David Hororwitz; a nerdy, not terribly telegenic individual, but one who knows his enemy well, and lights up when under fire.
Of course, Horowitz has seen real evil and real evil people up close and personal.

SNL on Friday
Those on the Right show more courage than Leftists who are too cowardly to go on Fox news and Right leaning talk radio.
Imagine if Obama went on Fox news or Rush...but he’s too scared to defend his ideology.
He needs to go on the Today show and the view. These types of shows are where low info voters get news.
Well said.
Well said.
Some should ask the folks at MSNBC if they know who Anthony Johnson and John Casor are.
I watched the video, kind of a snore fest. He debated in a gentlemenly like fashion with the moderator. However the body language and facial expressions of the 2 “Progressive” guest were smarmy and condescending, and Dinesh is too much of a gentlemen to go all R. Lee Ermey on their sorry behinds, which is what they deserved IMHO. Dinesh let these 2 Progressives diatribes stand without challenge, but given this was less than 9 minutes perhaps that is the only way you can exist in this format, it isn’t an hr on CSPAN...
You could pay me good money. Of course I’ll never get invited, but it would be great fun to laugh at all the leftist booshwah.
The conundrum that black racialists like Dyson have is knowing that because of slavery, American blacks live on average far better lives than 99% of all African blacks. Is there an African Oprah Winfrey with three billion dollars? Unless she’s the wife of a typical African tyrant, the answer is no.
