Hillary Clinton on Friday defended her six-figure speaking fees, saying she's donated all the money earned from colleges over the past year to her family's foundation.
All of the fees have been donated to the Clinton Foundation for it to continue its life-changing and life-saving work. So it goes from a foundation at a university to another foundation, she told ABC News on Friday.
The former secretary of State and potential 2016 presidential contender reportedly charges about $200,000 for speaking engagements.
Clinton recently drew fire from University of Nevada Las Vegas students who threatened to protest an upcoming fundraiser she's scheduled to host at the school unless she returns the $225,000 fee.
When asked to respond to the students' plea, Clinton did not indicate she would adhere to their request.
Its been my experience, Clinton said, That theyre not worried about my speaking or my household, theyre worried about their own. And thats the kind of debate I think Im furthering as I go around the country speaking.
Clinton's response comes after heightened speculation into her family's wealth as she promotes her new book, "Hard Choices." Last month, Clinton told ABC's Dianne Sawyer that she and former President Bill Clinton were "dead broke" after his presidency.
You say donated. I say laundered. Let's call the whole thing off.
It dawned on me that Clinton has a known track record where Obama was relatively unknown when he first ran, at least unknown nationally. So given that Clinton is already trying to dust her tracks before midterm elections, I don’t see how she’s going to survive the mud-slinging to become the Democratic nominee in 2016.
These public Universities get money from taxpayers and students and they then find it easy to attract ‘A-list’ speakers with PUBLIC money. So what is wrong with that?
Hmmm, University tuition increases, student debt increase, increased taxpayer subsidies ...
Donated to her foundation? What a farce. The Klintons run their
foundation which means they spend the money.
What a joke.
That article, and the links contained therein, are good references on this “charity.” Thanks.
LOL.
I’m just surprised that a few freepers aren’t aware of the corruption of the Clinton foundation. I suppose because I’m in their neck of the woods and read the local newspapers, I’m much more in touch with the lawlessness of the Clinton Foundation.
They're kept by Charlie Trie.
This woman is so full of s**t that it is coming out of her ears. What an absolutely despicable person. She expects us to believe that the Clintons do not control where Clinton Foundation funds are spent. Follow the money, folks.
Of course she fails to mention that she and the bent one and their progeny LIVE off of the foundations drawing however much they need for whatever it is they want.
She’s a looker, that’s for sure!
Those of us familiar with the the book “Foundations- Their Power & Influence” by Rene A. Wormser, understand that the tax-exempt foundation was created to shelter the very wealthy from taxation. Ford, Carnegie and Rockefeller and lately the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, used the foundations they created to continue to control their vast wealth and influence without the onerous taxes. Clinton is certainly no different.
Good Call!

Yeah, and if the gov’t hires everyone, the income taxes they’d generate would pay for all their jobs. What a maroon.
Thanks Cincinatus’ Wife.
*ROFLMAO*
just look at all the accomplishments the Clinton fund has achieved in Haiti, for example....
crickets
But they did boost employment
Chelsea joined the Board
Many foundations are formed in order to launder old family money. Either family members or insiders are board members, and they vote to allocate the funds to projects that just happen to be beneficial to...the family.
