As I said today on MSNBC, a pathway to legal status could pass the House only after the American people believe the border is secure. I oppose amnesty in any shape or form, as well as any reforms that reward unlawful behavior. Our broken immigration system cannot be fixed until the border is secure and we have an Administration that will enforce the Rule of Law.

I have nothing against calling an action to secure the border with fences and adequate guards to stop this invasion a “reform”, but I have one hell of a big problem in legalizing criminals in any way, shape or form.
If we can’t round them up and deport them, then we should force them into the shadows of an entitlement-free existence where they get absolutely no support, regardless whether some of them actually pay some pittance of a task or not.
