I really don’t understand how people can watch soccer. It is so boring. I think I would rather watch golf and I hate watching golf. Plus, I find soccer very un-American.
I don’t know any other sport other than the Iron Man where an athlete has to be better conditioned.
American football has a two platoon system - the player is off the field sitting on his ass half the game. There are endless boring wait times for reviewing the plays, it’s “hike, crunch, and huddle,” and the quarterback might as well be allowed to wear a dress as he’s become so untouchable. American football is killing itself. The cheerleaders are in better sporting shape.
In Fussball or Futbol a player has to run up and down the field constantly for up to 2 hours, and you can earn some great Academy awards for the pratfalls.

As a young English girl, I watched my cousins and brother play in school - and my older brother-in-law play in an amateur league. I remember a fast-paced type of Rugby - where footwork was skilled and tricky. More running and passing - it was a great game.
Accidentally turned on the FIFA and was shocked at the slow pace, the long passes and no ‘dribbling’. The playing field also seemed bigger. Must be all the rules and regs. that have ruined soccer.
The world Cup is so exciting, I can barely contain my ennui....
You certainly aren't a very good 'global citizen', are you?
Much less boring than baseball or ‘football’.
And how is a sport un-American?.
