We the People need to rebel against the tyranny of the Federal government and restore the constitutional principals as per our founders.

Yes, but We the People are too lazy to educate themselves on the candidates much less take a stand to stop the corruption and the organized destruction of the nation.

Agree.

Just don’t see any way to fix the situation in a way that, A. preserves the American ideal of self-rule by the people, and, B. prevents those same people from making stupid decisions for all of us.

The only possible solution that does both is to change the way of thinking of the people, and that’s a very difficult row to hoe indeed.

And, as I said, the way of thinking of the people is moving in the wrong direction at the moment, and the rate of movement in that direction continues to increase.

The brutal truth is that our society had immense moral capital built up thru the 60s. We have been spending that capital down ever since, and we’re nearing the bottom of the barrel.

The not-making-stupid-decisions part could be handled by choosing leaders by a different method. But then we wouldn’t be America anymore, and anyway we’re still back to the problem that there IS no known way of consistently choosing leaders who won’t make stupid decisions.

Wow, did not know about Friedman. Know about the war, so typical. Gov types sometimes come up with legitimate reasons for procedures but love to keep them in place when the need passes. THAT is the real problem.

There is alot of big talk on FR. Not just regarding highly important principles such as this, either!

To have a successful revolt requires much more coordination than exists here - mostly big talk by a few nobodies. Serious study of the AmRevWar shows how it became highly coordinated in multiple ways. And it required a healthy dose each of rationalism and blustery enthusiasm.

/I’d like to know how you intend to travel from Point A - violent resistance, to Point Z - Restoration of Freedom.

What are the intermediate events?

What will likely occur will be nothing like the RW or CW. We are currently a rapidly dying Republic. The evil left has spent the last 100 years attempting to convert our Republic into a democracy (with the end goal of a totalitarian dictatorship.) They are succeeding.

Scenario #1 follow: What will likely happen is that we will be morphed into a third world decaying Socialist sewer.

The import and offspring of the third world anti-American, anti-English illegal invasion will likely total over half our population by 2050. Demographics is destiny and the illegal invasion is truly checkmate for our Republic. They will vote for third world type tyrants. This is the most likely scenario.

Probability of scenario #1 is 51%

If somehow we could remove the vast numbers of these anti-American third world socialists then the least likely scenario (#2) would likely develop as follows. At some point a "crisis" will result in the essential financial collapse of the Federal government.

It would be ideal for the Several States to have a plan ready to quickly take over and dissolve the Federal government of all unconstitutional activities. This will require the firing of millions of Federal bureaucrats and the outright revoking of their pensions. All courts below the Supreme courts would need to be immediately dissolved.

Through an emergency convening of an Article V Convention of the States, the States can quickly remove ALL unconstitutional aspects of Federal government.

It cannot be emphasized enough that the removal of all unconstitutional parts of the Federal government would have to be done in a very short time period (< 18 months)

Probability of scenarios 2 is 0.05%

Scenario #3 is the 2nd most likely scenario (probability 49%) is a "crisis" event causing a collapse of the U.S. Economy resulting in widespread chaos, death and the attempted imposition of a totalitarian dictatorship. It will likely unfold as in the many writings of Travis McGee.

No one really knows what will happen or when (6 months, 2 years or 20 years), but when it does it will not be pleasant. Most of human existence has been one of bondage and tyrannical rule.

Our Blessed United States has been one of the few exceptions in all of human history. The utterly evil left is trying its best to extinguish our Freedom. They are that evil.

I can’t add to or refute anything you say.

What is obvious to you and me is also clear to our state politicians. In fact, they probably know far better of the heavy federal fist always poised to beat them and their people down.

The tyranny is here. Article V, the 0.05% chance, is the only hope to restore freedom.

Yes indeed Article V is our best hope.

John Adams stated, Our Constitution Was Made Only For A Moral And Religious People.

I believe for an Article V convention to succeed we need a populace such as Adams describes. I fear we may not have such a citizenry. The hoards of third-worlders have Zero connection to our history and culture. Also, we have a very large dependent class.

Hence, the low probability I regretfully assigned to a successful Article V convention.

Yes, the odds are against us.

Yet history will not look kindly on a people who gaffed off their duty and accepted tyranny.

The Assembly of State Legislatures will meet again in December. So far, their efforts have remained mostly over the horizon, unnoticed. Once it agrees to the parliamentary rules of a convention to propose amendments, I hope the movement bursts wide open across media.
