People simply do not comprehend why and how the economic policies of the post-war era are imploding. This whole agenda of socialism has sold a Utopian idea that the State is there for the people yet it is run by lawyers following their own self-interest. The pensions created for those in government drive the cost of government up exponentially with time. The political forces blame the rich and this merely creates a class warfare with no resolution for the future. Even confiscating all the wealth of the so-called rich will not sustain the system. Consequently, we just have to crash and burn and start all over again.

Out in the country, we have ammo and an endless supply of squirrels and other wild life.;-)
I even have fruit trees, a nearby pond with fish, and can grow veggies.
That is the first time I have seen that benefit chart. It presents my thoughts exactly that it seems people are being urged to “contribute” but I rarely see what the benefit, the exact payout, will be. It used to be a person was told they would receive $x.xx when they retired, but now all they are told is to contribute.
I have a vested Boeing retirement amount stated as to its value today and the projected value in the future. It is the only retirement “pension plan” that I have seen in the private sector.
“That ammo will sit in some armory unused.”
I think those that are buying it, the purchasing managers, know exactly what that ammo is and will take it with them. They know it has value.
“having spent my career on Wall St, I know those uber wealthy have no idea how to provide for their families in a world gone asunder.”
A bit of the same for me, but instead of Wall St. I lived in Flyover Country. Many of the rich here are liberal minded but many are not and they have prepared. Many new homes have been built with amazing capabilities built in, such as massive storage capabilities and a few I know of even have surgical rooms. One home has enough MREs to feed a small army and he intends to.
“Is there anyone here who believes the super powerful, super wealthy ruling class elite did not know this would occur? “
They live in such out of touch places that they do not worry about collapse. They have their ocean going yachts, their mountain retreats, their islands, and the like. They don’t even associate with commoners, much less see them on a daily basis.
But, yes, I think many ultra-rich do see this collapse coming as they know they are the robber barons of today. Many others are hoping to get more for themselves before any collapse. It looks like a mad scramble.
Welcome to the other side of the looking glass... Is this one of those things that have been mentioned?
Deposit facility interest rate cut effective as of 11 June 2014
Negative rate to apply also to average reserve holdings in excess of the minimum reserve requirements and other deposits held with the Eurosystem
When deciding to lower the key ECB interest rates at its meeting today, the Governing Council of the ECB took the decision to cut the interest rate on the deposit facility to -0.10%.
This change will come into effect on 11 June 2014, together with the changes to the interest rates on the main refinancing operations and on the marginal lending facility. The negative deposit facility interest rate will also apply to: (i) banks average reserve holdings in excess of the minimum reserve requirements; (ii) government deposits held with the Eurosystem that exceed certain thresholds that will be set in the relevant Guideline to be published by 7 June; (iii) Eurosystem reserve management services accounts if not currently remunerated; (iv) participants account balances in TARGET2; (v) non-Eurosystem NCB balances (overnight deposits) held in TARGET2; and (vi) other accounts held by third parties with Eurosystem central banks when stipulated that they are not currently remunerated or are remunerated at the deposit facility rate.

Until they ban and come take your weapons. It may very well they take them from your cold dead hands but they will very soon. Is the US doing anything to stop them? No. Joe Average Citizen is doing everything to promote the banning and Joanna Average Citizen is sitting back letting it happen.
Demographics are bad for most of the developed world US, Japan, EU. Retirees and pensioners will at some point need to withdrawal money from their funds, bank accounts, pensions etc. Baby boomers in the US, are on average in their late 50s, early 60s, just past their peak earning years, and right now at around the peak of their lifetime wealth, and heavily invested in the markets. When this wave recedes, the demographics will not sustain a recovery in the markets. Japan’s real estate and stock market has still not recovered since the 90s because of an aging population.
They even passed up their breakfast cereal and ice cream because they can't eat out of styrofoam bowls and plastic spoons. Sure, they can eat off real dishes if they wash them afterward because I'm not handwashing their dishes for them all day long. Whaaaa, can't wash dishes. Ok, fine, that's more ice cream for me. Can't put the clip on the opened potato chip bag because they can't follow simple directions of opening the drawer located directly beneath the chips and take out the clip.
Then there's the snotty attitude and disrepect. If only I had a woodshed but then CPS would come knocking.
My various careers have always been working with kids. From little murderers, to the poor, and to the handicapped. I have to say I was always their favorite and easy going to a certain extent and didn't judge. But they're a whole new breed than they were 5-10 years ago so I've had closed that door. I used to go into scary hoods by myself in the middle of the night unarmed and never thought a thing about it but I wouldn't do that today in broad daylight. It seems there are either evil little thugs or wimpy little pansies with the All American good kid next door being a rarity. The blame rests solely on their parents who pander to them 24/7 and want to be their BFFs instead of doing their duty to raise them into responsible productive citizens with values and morals. I can't imagine what this country will be like in another 10 years when they are running it.
The clueless wealthy nephews I mentioned above asked why I bought 6 cans of spaghetti sauce. Not to blow their little la-la land minds and to not talk about prep club, I just said we liked spaghetti. They still looked like I’d lost my mind. They’ll be whining big time on the cell to their parents when I open one and serve it for dinner instead of steak.
No, it won't. We'll just be bending over even more.
“And the Greek democracies before Rome and ....
There is nothing new under the sun.”
What’s the matter with you? Don’t you believe in Progress?

The uber wealthy will survive as long as they can feed and provide for their security but once that is gone, so are they. Those yachts will be nothing but target practice. Same with their islands. I've seen the wealthy, not the uber ones, buying up weekend getaways around here as fast as they can but they aren't thinking with any plan in mind. They are only hearing to buy a house away from the city and that's as far as they can see. A house. The end. Because any need for it will only last the weekend, right?
The worlds super wealthy controlling banker globalist not only saw it coming, but supervised the design.
It's why most of the developed modern 1st world once united countries, have been divided and flooded with foreigners, illegals, immigrants whatever it takes.
For a small example, look at the UK...It's already over for them.
If you're part of a super powerful wealthy group, who wants total control over entire countries, the last thing ya want is united independent free people who are all like-minded and speak the same language.
None of this, what is happening here or elsewhere was an accident
Oh my. I’m afraid I would probably take them home and have a talk with the parents, although I’m sure it probably wouldn’t help at all.
I’m taking my twelve-year-old grandson and two of his friends to the Hill Country in August for horseback riding, hiking, putt-putt golf and swimming in the river. But they are into scout things and know better than to ever say no to a reasonable request made by an adult. Difference in parents.
This morning in the street in our neighborhood, there are two boys engaged in a water fight with evil water guns, two little ones learning how to roller skate with an older one teaching them but obviously getting exasperated from the sound of things, two throwing a football and two racing up and down on bikes - without helmets so don’t report them, and one dad supervising his ten-year-old who is learning to mow the lawn.
Thank God for my neighborhood and the wonderful parents that live here as well as the parents of my grandson and his friends.
I find all of this particularly disconcerting because I am used to going wherever, whenever by myself without a care or concern. Now I feel like Annie Oakley as I never leave home without carrying a firearm and my cell phone.
We go to Tanglewood in Pottsboro on occasion and so have to drive through Dallas. I always stay on the freeway system but hate the traffic. I know better than to wander from the main roads in any city now, except in parts of the hill country. My daughter was a house mother/counselor at a teen center in Dallas years ago and the stories she told even back them made my hair stand on end.
I do believe my generation has noticed our loss of freedom way more than young people who have never nor will they ever experience the freedom, flexibility and choices we have had. It remains to be seen in my generation will stand up and fight for what we’ve lost.
They are too stupid to try to defuse the situation, when they are standing there next to an MRAP in their black gear vests, the "Us vs. Them" attitude, bloused booted, black cargo pants, with a big SWAT label on their chest. The one that says, "Hey! I'm A Murderous Thug!" How long before he tases a 12 year old and he catches a retaliatory .40 in the head?
Ask Rodney King about triggers for a riot. Once one cop goes down, the rest will panic and open up with the standard 'pray and spray' marksmanship. And then things snowball.
Thousands of people, every day, are prepping. The fact that I don't have to explain the definition of the word 'prep' says volumes. Costco is selling 30 day emergency buckets of food, alongside the large economy bottles of vitamins and 48 rolls of bum wipe.
There is a tremendous number of people, especially in the suburban and rural areas who are just waiting for the Feds to make a foolish mistake so they will have reason to strike back. Lots of them have large families and even the teenagers understand why their fathers, uncles and grandfathers are so upset. They feel as if they have been betrayed by the very people they went to war to protect.
Sad times are here and it’s going to be quite a while before things change for the better. Study up about Agenda 21 so you understand what is happening locally with your city councils. And, of course pray.
Stay safe
So true. The younger generations won’t miss something they never had.
I alternate between feeling blessed that we grew up with such freedom and utter sadness to see it slip away so the younger people will never know what it was.
Truthfully, I’m not sure that even if we stand and fight, we can roll back the clock. So much has changed in 50/60 years. Things are so big and out of control it reminds me of trying to untangle a badly knotted fishing line.
Spot on.
