Solstice was an eye opener for me. A long time ago I was told to only adopt a dog when it is a puppy. Solstice was nine years old when he entered my life. He surprised me many times with his intelligence and sure made me laugh with his antics. He had so much “play” in him.
They know they’ve gotten a second chance. Dogs raised from puppies you know so well and they you, but a rescue tries so hard, it’s almost heartbreaking and you overlook or get accustomed to behaviors that came with them because they want so badly to belong.
