The next appropriation bill should include a simple LAW that all public offices that receive federal funding must post their hours open to the public at their front entrance large enough to be seen from the 3rd nearest non-restricted parking space. .
TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: bureaucrats; governmentoffices; library; postoffice
I am really tired of going up to the door of a library or Post Office to find it lock and then squinting to read the tiny 4"X6" Card in the window. And the mere suggestion that they could provided their customers with a larger sign makes them laugh

They are open when they feel like working! Who are you to question the King's people? When you criticize them, you criticize the King. Criticizing the King is treason and treason is a capital crime!

I’ll bet you could look them up online.

What I really think is special is when the staff parking is closer than public parking.

As long as we’re dreaming of unicorns, every such office should have some Saturday hours and at lease one late night hours day during the week. Those of us pulling the wagon can’t easily get to a local/state/federal office between 9:00-4:00 Monday through Friday.

In the communist strongholds, the clerks open the offices on Saturday and Sunday during ‘election month’ to promote VOTE FRAUD.
We no longer have election DAY, we have election month or election six weeks.

Oh good lord.
Look it up online or call ahead for hours.
Why would you EVER go to a business if you weren’t sure that they were open?

I'm talking SMALLTOWN, population about 300 or less, where the only postal clerk closes the office to take one and a half hours for lunch and the library is open only 16-20 hours a week. While driving down the town's main street, you can't tell by looking if the business is open or closed. No, they don't have a website. Sometimes they are not even in the phone book!
I once mentioned to a CITY clerk in a small town of inbred idiots that it would be helpful if she posted office hours in the window. "Well, yes an no," was her reply. I left that town and wiped the dust from my sandals.
