A person with knowledge of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling's legal strategy says his team of lawyers has hired four private investigation firms to dig up dirt on the NBA's former and current commissioners and its 29 owners.
The individual, who wasn't authorized to talk publicly, says investigators were given a six-figure budget over the next 30 days to examine the league's finances, allegations of previous discriminatory conduct and compensation to past commissioner David Stern and current commissioner Adam Silver. They're also looking into whether other owners ever made any off-color jokes, or racist or sexist remarks....

I Love it! GO DONALD! GO DONALD!
good
I hope he beats the pants off them.
Scorched earth. I bet he comes up with scores of things that people in the NBA said or did that was equally or more egregious than what he is being punished for. Yes, I’ll have extra butter on that popcorn.
Donald has no case.
What’s that old saying, “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones”.
For a senile old coot with dementia, Sterling is sure playing hardball!
It will be fun to see the NBA overlords, and the other characters involved in this public lynching squirm and try to lie low.
In about 3 weeks the hearing on whether Sterling is legally competent to manage his financial affairs starts. I would suggest he concentrate on that because if he loses it then this all goes away.
Then he's suing the wrong person. The NBA owners have not voted to strip Sterling of his team. His wife is the one who made the deal and agreed to sell.
... and he's taking steps to insure that they do not. As for NBA commissioners, revenge is a dish best eaten cold.
when the team was sold it was announced the he was incompetent, I was wondering when that ruling took place. It takes time to go to court in such matters. Now are you saying that hearing is coming up in three weeks? If so how did they use "incompetent" to cut he out of the decision making process of the sale?
Like I said he's suing the wrong person then. It's his wife who is selling the team out from underneath him. At this point the only vote the NBA owners are considering is whether to allow Ballmer to buy it.
As for NBA commissioners, revenge is a dish best eaten cold.
And if he loses his competency hearing then he won't be able to have revenge on anyone.
Neither does the NBA -- so let's see how this no-case proceeds -- get the popcorn.
Sterling was declared medically incompetent by his doctors as a result of tests conducted during two medical examinations. It was because of those findings that Shelly Sterling took control of the trust that owns the Clippers. Now that Sterling has changed his mind again about selling she's taking the matter to court and having him declared legally incompetent as well.
Donald was condemned for talking in private with his airhead girlfriend. The true heroes of sports today are guys like Michael Strahan, the former New York Giant who is now on the cover of Parade magazine’s for Father’s Day. Strahan has four kids, two ex-wives, and refuses to find a third wife to help him take care of the kids.
One of the ex-wives accused him of beating her and he is famous for tracking his present girlfriend with GPS because he thinks she might be unfaithful.
But all is forgiven because the Father of the Year is black and campaigns for gay marriage.
Thanks, will be interesting because ‘medically incompetent’ is not legally incompetent. I think someone put the cart before the horse.
Wait! ...No. ...He hired 4 of the largest private investigating FIRMS! hehe
