I see these primaries as potentially dangerous, though. If a LOT of establishment GOP are “primaried,” they know their time is up come November, regardless of the election winner. They might just pass amnesty knowing it’ll be one of the final big votes.

When career politicians are put up against the wall with the threat of being “de-throned,” they’ll start showing their true stripes.

That would merely move the date of the vote up. The Republicans were going to vote for amnesty anyway but after the election in the lame duck congress. Having guys primaried out will just mean they can do it sooner.

That’s a hump we just have to make it over though. The only other alternative is to keep the status quo, and America can’t survive much more of this status quo. Sometimes you have to act now because there won’t be another chance if you don’t act now.
