Jail mug shot of Gregory Walter (Gregg) Jarrett. (Hennepin County jail)
Fox News anchor Gregg Jarrett, said by the network to be on leave to address serious personal issues, has been charged with a misdemeanor after his arrest in a Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport bar, where he was very intoxicated and combative toward officers.
Jarrett, 59, is charged in Hennepin County District Court with a misdemeanor, obstructing the legal process and interfering with a police officer. His arraignment is scheduled in an Edina courtroom June 6.
The weekend co-anchor on the Fox News Channel was arrested about 12:40 p.m. Wednesday at Northern Lights Grill in the main terminal, said airport spokesman Patrick Hogan.
Jarrett was in Minnesota for alcohol or chemical dependency treatment, according to a detailed police accounting of the incident.
An employee called police to say Jarrett appeared to be acting very intoxicated, according to an Airport Police Department report released Thursday.
Officers responded and found Jarrett to be uncooperative, resistant and combative during his arrest, according to the report. It did not disclose whether he had his blood-alcohol level measured by police.
Jarrett, who calls the New York City suburb of Larchmont home, posted $300 bond and was released from custody shortly after 1:30 a.m. Thursday, according to jail records. His jail mug shot shows him with a full salt-and-pepper beard, a different look than the typically close-shaven appearance that viewers were used to seeing.
Jarrett has yet to respond to telephone and e-mail messages seeking comment about his arrest....

Has Fox Fired him yet?
Don't think Greg is going to be around Fox News anymore.
He went there for treatment. Was he just arriving at the airport?
Wouldn’t be the first time a person going for help decided to have one last binge before “getting serious”.
serious personal issues”
Umm, let me guess: Drinking?
About a month ago my wife and I were half watching Fox weekend news and Jarret was on with a co-anchor. He was slurring his words so badly we couldn’t believe it. We rewound the DVR several times and watched it. When they came back from commercial he was gone and the co-anchor carried on without him.
Maybe he’s just ticked off because his beard don’t match his hair.
GOD Help him! He’s got some problems!!
Wow. Good catch.
Maybe he’s just a big lib and can’t stand that he works for Fox. Maybe his lib friends mock him “Your news station doesn’t support terror or communism nyah nyah nyah”
He should’ve called Walt Frazier instead.
I hope he gets treatment for his alcoholism...he needs our prayers
You could say he has “mad” skills.
You could say he has “mad” skills.
“Once in an airport holding cell, police found documentation in Jarrets bag that he had just been released from an alcohol and chemical dependency treatment facility.”
Dang. Didn’t take long for him to take a high dive off the wagon. Wonder if it was a”celebrity rehab” type of place?
Then he needs a bottle of “just for men”, not a bottle of whiskey. It looks like gregg was having one last blowout before gettin’ sober.

If a person is serious about quitting, Alcoholics Anonymous works as well as anything. AA costs a lot less too.

Well, that didn't take too well, did it?
In fact, he had just been released from his de-tox and apparently went right back to the bottle...and trouble.
Sounds like he has had a real life altering experience. Who knows. Marrital problems? Illness or death in the family? Financial problems? Could be a lot of thjings that pushed him ovr the edge.
Or maybe he is just an alcoholic.
Whatever...it's going to impact him badly...and at 59, its coming at exactly the wrong time for his future. No time to recover professionally.
Now that is a mug shot to proud of.... the bloated, red faced drunk strikes again
