In an interview with Bloomberg News [URL at link], Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov asserted that Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland had meetings with the Ukrainian neofascist group Right Sector in Washington DC. The Right Sector has been involved in numerous killings including the burning of pro-Russian supporters in Odessa.

Whether Nuland met with Artyomenko or any other representative of the Right Sector to help with fundraising and support is unknown. What is known is that the US is supporting the gang in Kiev's "interim government" which includes Svoboda an openly neofascist party which aligns itself historically and currently with the principles of Hitler's Nazi party.

The Russian government has been lying since day one about Ukraine being run by Nazis, and there have been many articles on FR exposing these lies already. Why would one willingly take the word of the Russian FM in the first place when these people are confirmed liars? There is also an additional fact which makes the accusation even more stupid. It is already clear from the overwhelming public opinion polls from all over Ukraine, that the next president will not be from Svoboda or Right Sector, who poll in the single digits. It's going to be a moderate Pro-westerner and business man with, unfortunately, ties to other business men who are known to be in bed with Moscow in keeping Ukraine under an energy stranglehold (we shall see how this develops). Right Sector by the way only has membership in the country somewhere between 2000 to 10,000 people, depending on whose numbers you want to believe (RS boasts the latter number). I'll also add that RS is anti-EU and anti-American, and they do not even hide this.
So not only do the Putinistas want us to believe that Nuland is meeting with an insignificant group that has no political power, they want us to believe she is meeting with an insignificant group that would actively sabotage the alleged Soros-Obama conspiracy to bring the world under the EU!

I forgot to respond to one more thing, the little insertion in the article about Right Sector “burning” civilians in Odessa. First of all, the “civilians” were armed with machine guns and pistols and were lobbing molotov cocktails themselves. They were pushed back into the building by soccer fans (who is dumb enough to mess with soccer fans?) AFTER they had already attacked the Unity march with bullet-fire, killing a man (or men?) and wounding others.
The article loses even more credibility the moment it takes the spin-view of the events in Odessa, as if innocent civilians, and not terrorists and Russian GRU, were marched into a chamber all peace in our time singing kum-by-ya as they roasted.
