I can imagine how angry I would be if the federal government forced me off land I felt belonged to me. All the more if it was land my father ranched, and his father before him; land I raised my children on; land containing generations of blood, sweat and tears my family had spent maintaining and improving.
Most people would be angry to have that land taken away. And to have it taken away supposedly to protect a tortoise that most city-dwellers will never see or care about once the media cycle has turned; a tortoise that was endangered enough to confiscate my land, but not so endangered that the government allowed construction of a solar power facility nearby; a tortoise for which there is no scientific proof that cattle ranching is incompatible.
For one rancher, it made him angry enough to defy the government—swat team, helicopters, hired guns, snipers and all.

Sorry, most seem to be too stupid to care. Nothing the Obama administration can do would upset them.
For a second I thought it said ‘the Bunny Ranch needs your help in NV’.
The government better not try to move troops on that ranch.

When “they”(we) allowed giverment to tax property you own.. or even don’t own..
THEN.. you are paying RENT to the givernment to own anything..
Democrats have no problem with that;.... gov’t being their GOD...

The federal givernment has OWNED THE PEOPLE for a long long time..

The problem with Bundy is he grew up on a ranch that was a part of Nevada’s history. In the 1800’s Nevada was open grazing land where the main industry was cattle, sheep and mining. We live in a different age, -those time are gone. Gambling runs the state. Bundy said he was the only surviving rancher in his area where at one time there were 80. In Bundy’s grandfather’s time, ranchers and cowboys were the prime example of what free men/women were all about. Now with this New World Order, we are slaves to the government and they own just about everything, in Nevada’s case the own almost 90% of it and the people own nothing. Just try not paying your taxes, you’ll find out like Bundy.
It’s true in my case. According to my daughter and son-in-law, if anybody is critical of Obummer they are racial biased, and my daughter’s mother-in-law thinks Mrs. Obummer is the greatest and most perfect presidential wife ever. We can’t discuss politics as it will end up with hot tempers.
