The Wall Street journal is hardly a conservative site. ( indeed, it frequently supports “crony capitalist” deals like we see going on in today’s administration) I do find much of value in the journal, just saying it’s not a conservative political website is all

I see that Atlas Shrugged has become www.pamelageller.com since the movies based on the book came out. Since she is on a kick against Islam, Jihad and Islamo-fascists then I see her and her site as quiet similar to Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch and Debbie Schlussel who just focus on that issue only in their blogs. But it is good to know we have a group of sites like My Pet Jawa and the rest focusing on Muslim extermism.

I looked up my website ranking at Alexa and got 181,000. Hmmm, maybe someday I will be there.

So, why do we have so much trouble putting these FReepathons to bed in short order?
To: ButThreeLeftsDo
Because we don’t do advertising.

#14...? We have work to do, Lets roll!
You'll also note that numbers 1-13 have loads of advertisements, have either radio or TV airwaves, use paid writers, editors and publishers, and an array of multimedia links.
FreeRepublic operates as FreeRepublic through member donations.
Given all of that, we're still kicking arse.
Way to go, Jim!!

I get that. And I’m certainly OK with it. Why do we have so many followers and not enough helpers?

Probably because FReepers aren't immune to the burdens of Obamanomics.

I view their sub-site www.nation.foxnews.com or Fox Nation as being the more conservative version of Fox News. There are good people at Fox News like Todd Starnes, Katie Pavlich, Andrea Tantaros, Eric Bolling, Michelle Malkin, Sarah Palin, who is a contributor, and others. And when I just want straight news or the top headlines I use Fox News, Sky News, Sun News or NewsMax. When I want more conservative news I use Breitbart, Gateway Pundit, and all the rest. Then I cruise on over here to see what else I missed.

Seeing Fox News at #1 is enough for me to call this list bogus. Did not even read past there.

FRs a multi-millionaire! Hey, congratulations! Perhaps you should diversify. There's a basketball team up for sale...
To: RandallFlagg
Thanks!! Yup. And that’s why I say FR is still the number one independent, user supported, pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-borders, pro-small government, pro-defense, pro-America, patriotic, grassroots conservative website on the planet!!
