SEE: Tea party PACs reap money for midterms, but spend little on candidates
Martin, the super PACs chairwoman, oversees all its expenditures, according to Broughton, meaning she sets her own $15,000 monthly fee for strategic consulting payments that have totaled $120,000 since July.
She also draws a salary as president of the Tea Party Patriots nonprofit arm getting more than $272,000 in the 2012 fiscal year, according to the groups most recent tax filing.
Her twin salaries put her on track to make more than $450,000 this year, a dramatic change in lifestyle for the tea party activist, who had filed for bankruptcy in 2008 and then cleaned homes for a period of time to bring in extra money.
I guess Jenny is too busy collecting tea party contributions and filling her own pockets to know or actually care about what H.J. RES. 104, which she is promoting, would actually accomplish. The only thing which seems important to her and her hubby about H.J.RES. 104 is that repealing the 16th Amendment sounds good and can rake in the cash, even if it wouldnt actually end taxes calculated from profits, gains, salaries and other incomes.
They are not liberals. They are conniving Marxist parasites who use the cloak of government force to steal the wealth which wage earners, business and investors have worked to create
Per usual, a promising movement on the right was done in by both the Left—via illegal targeting by Obama’s IRS—and the right—with the usual mix of charlatans and otherwise corrupt self-promoters.
I thought she resigned to work on somebody’s campaign, I can’t recall who she went to work for. Bevin?
Whatever she did, she paid herself a huge percentage of total contributions to her group.
If true, she has undermined the entire Tea Party movement and jeopardized future fund raising. That said, this is another reason I have ceased contributing to groups and now contribute directly to a specific candidate.
I don’t doubt it. It seems most things work that way nowadays—charities are the ones that chap my butt the most.
I recall seeing a list of “Tea Party” associated/affiliated/related entities here in a thread and there were multiple entities. The only one that seemed to me to be in it for the outcome was the Club for Growth in terms of $$ available for change vs. $$ spent on BS overhead.
It looks like from this, this person is just scamming in my opinion.
Is she supposed to work for free? Look what she accomplished. That isn’t worth a few hundred thousand? Heck, it’s about a buck each.
In comparison, KKKarl Rove made 10 million for doing the same thin for the GOPe and the Rat groups earn twice that.
I never stated she should work for free.
The “Tea Party” movement was ground roots by people who had never before publically protested anything. More or less the “Silent Majority”.
It did not take long before the Grifters (not necessarily for $, but recognition and power) began to wiggle around trying to be THE TEA PARTY LEADER.
Most of us were turned off by these loud fringe types and went back to our normal lives, but still PO’d at gubmint and the grifters.
Whether Jenny Beth gained leadership for personal gain or the power, is one in the same. WE DON’T NEED NO STINKIN LEADER!
Always keep your eye on the till and the people around it see D.C..
First, know what it is she did or did not do in her position.
Secondly, put into perspective the totality of what her work encompassed, e.g. her travel and costs associated with it, a staff, if necessary, equipment and above all, the time consumed. Then, make your comments and observations intelligently and specifically. Otherwise, KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT! There’s enough in-fighting amongst conservatives as it is and we don’t need knee-jerk reactions to add to it. Read, research, educate and then comment.
I’m still waiting on her to reply to these charges. Remember, she has to submit receipts for those expenses. Why does it sound like she is being attacked for not doing all this work for free? Last time I checked she was doing this full time.
