The only thing similar I could find was American Indian style Persian rug, also the color pink I think is very unusual, the main features look a little like a llama but not much like the Peruvian style. I would to find the answer of where this rug is from, I think it is made of silk.
Find a rug dealer in your area FIRST. Then go to an antique dealer and see how much he will scr** you.
Not my first rug rodeo (racist comment I know) it is hand made using natural fibers, I am trying to find out where/who made it.
If the rug dealer is also an appraiser of such, then yes. An antique dealer is not necessarily a dealer who knows about antique rugs. That is why if somebody really needs to know the value of an antique rug (or wants to find out if it is antique) they need to go to a person who has expertise in that area. They should be able to show their credentials. If they refuse or are unable to produce them, don’t waste your time.
You should have also posted photos of any knots in the fringe and the back of the rug.
How is that in anyway a racist comment? I must not get out enough.

•Daniela Hernandez, a self-described “Mexican-born, United-States-raised” student, complained.
•The event has now been canceled.
The presidents of the Phi Delta Alpha fraternity and the Alpha Phi sorority at Dartmouth have canceled a fundraiser for cardiac care over concerns that the theme “Phiesta” might be offensive.
It’s definitely not my father-in-law’s rug. His is color-mismatched and doesn’t fit him very well.
To each their own.
