In the famous video Historic! Feds Forced to Surrender to American Citizens , I'm curious as to what sort of sunglasses that the "contractor" is wearing at the barricade (1:28 in the video). You can also see his gloves and his wristwatch.
The gloves appear to be some sort of fancy fingerless Gear Queer stuff, also:
I think they are standard issue for all Black Water mercenaries.
The other thing to notice is the picture of Bundy and his son standing beside their Dodge. It is beat to hell. Their clothes aren’t dowdy. Standard ranch wear but they are well used.
Contrast their trusty Dodge with the vehicles and clothing worn by the feds. Brand new pickups with the best of everything on them. Winches, light bars, brush guards, desert tires. The works. Their uniforms and gear? Also the best that taxpayer money can buy.
You see much the same thing at the city, county and state levels. New, neat and clean vehicles and equipment contrasted to the contractors mostly beat to hell stuff.
Any fool knows this can’t continue but I doubt that the benefactors of the involuntary largess of the public will give it up willingly.
The bill on the cap is to shade the neck, as everybody knows.
There is a Dan Love located(or previously) in San Bernardino that is 42.
In any case I withdraw my assertion that he is SpecOps. BUT it is clear he has significant training in the techniques they employ. I also put out on a email chain to Burners asking if they have any encounters with this guy. These are the people who make Burning Man work. The contractors etc.
He certainly didn't seem like a hothead.

Yup. Found out up thread. I withdrew my assertion but I stick with he has had training from the SpecOps community. Turns out he has a record taxpeaseant abuse in Nevada.

when I was into inline skating, I went thru over 5 pairs of "M" frames that all broke in the exact same spot and while warranted, I had to pay $20 for each replacement....they eventually ran out of stock and the last pair I sent back they responded "sorry"............
I got the lenses if anyone is interested./..........
