All campaign finance laws are unconstitutional. The government has no more of a right to limit campaign contributions than it does limiting the number of pages a newspaper can print.

"Is Democracy Dead after Supreme Court Strikes Down Political Contribution Limits?" That would be my fervent prayer.
End the unsurped "democratic" power of the congress (or even of the people) to vote in laws or regulations that are clearly unconstitutional!
Restore the Republic!
Restore the constitution limits on government!
Restore freedom to we the people!

“Is democracy dead”
I certainly hope so, with republican government once again becoming the preponderant idea. See my book!

Democrats, Their Union & MSM accomplices don't like opposing views to be distributed or supported.
Democrats are hypocrites with their own big millionaire donors & supporters.

If you really want to “get the money out of politics” you first have to get the politicians out of every single aspect of our lives that they are currently meddling in now.

This cannot be good for the direction of things. With this change, if everyone in DC plays the game for global elitists, everybody gets their money. That'll be so much easier than dealing with individual donations and what the voters want.
The problem is the two parties are already too much alike. That'll get more extreme. DC will become a totally monied class, removed from the voter, awash in money from the elite.

Yes, we can only hope. “Democracy” is like a vampire though, you think you’ve killed it, and it keeps rising from the grave to haunt you.
To: rightwingerpatriot; All
The Constitution is not chiseled in granite as many people have evidently been indoctrinated to think. In other words, there is nothing to stop the states from amending the Constitution to limit political contributions.
On the other hand, the main reason that political contributors are interested in buying favors from corrupt federal politicians these days is the following. They don’t understand that much of the powers that the feds regularly exercise are actually 10th Amendment protected state powers which corrupt Congress has wrongy usurped from the states.

Really, is it going to make that much difference? I mean, who here would have voted for Obama , that didn't, if only he had more money to spend on his election campaign? Certainly not I.
