This strikes at an article posted yesterday about how Conservatives are great at facts and statistics, but get beat repeately and severely by Democrats on narrative.

Hispanic teenager who thinks he’s a citizen walks into a recruiting station because he wants to serve “his country”, finds out mom and/or dad lied to him about being brought here illegally when he was in the low single digits, and gets arrested and put into jail pending deportation proceedings may be the legally correct thing to do, but it really makes Conservatives look like complete a**holes when it’s shown on the evening news and used as the basis for Dem campaign ads.

Keep in mind that they must have found out at some time to have known they had to apply to be DREAMers..

Keep in mind that when they found out that at age 18 they were no longer children but now responsible for their crimes..

they were now adults illegally in the US..

Keep in mind that they knew now they were breaking the law themselves..

Keep in mind that they should have either left the country and applied to come in legally

or given themselves up to ICE..

If they're here legally and are already taking steps toward citizenship, within reasonable numbers, they'll assimilate and reflect US values. The problem with this is you'll have a situation where a huge percentage of the military recruits will not be US citizens and it makes the war mongerers less accountable to US voters. How far would that be from having a military that would fire on US citizens but not protect our southern border with Mexico?

It's hard to find enough US citizens to fight the globalist wars we don't agree with. So what's the solution going to be?.....fill the ranks with Free Syria terrorists? Maybe a few battalians that want to be part of Mexico? It's a bad problem the military has; this solution is even worse.

There's a darker side to this... The advantage of filling the military with foreigners is they'll be much more willing to shoot American citizens on American soil.

Some years back - in a conversation with two young Iranian students( before Imadinnerjacket was elected) they explained how foreigners and outsiders were brought into Iranian security systems (police - guard etc) BECAUSE they were willing to shoot and kill student protesters. Apparently it's difficult for people raised in the same city to shoot people they grew up with...

There's plenty of American citizens willing to serve in our army. There's no honest reason to bring in illegals.

If they are here legally they ARE already almost citizens..

Much of the vetting for citizenship is done BEFORE they leave their own country..

if they are deemed qualified for a Alien Registration card or green card..they are also qualified to become American citizens..

Yes this is different than the Roman legions making soldiers of the foreigners they had conquered..

treason against the Romans always ended in the death of the foreign soldier..

and/or death of their families back home..

the legal immigrants in the US have some loyalty towards the US but the illegal aliens have already proven they have none at all..

You're right Nana... there's a different mindset to people who break our laws to get here ... than the mindset of people who come here legally. It's almost like democrats prefer the criminal types... or maybe illegals are easier for liberal elites to exploit. Either way it's horrible.
