You see Yeshua as a liar, by your post.
And Paul to boot.
At the last trump is the stated time for the rapture, both by Yeshua and by Paul. The Revelation also places the resurrection at the 7th trump. There is not one word anywhere in the scriptures that indicates anything else.
And yes Noah did go through the flood, in the ark.
Everything about the trib in scripture points out that it is the tribulation of the saints. That is the whole point of it. “Immediately after the tribulation of those days” is also quite specific.
There is no mention in any scripture of any salvation happening after the first resurrection. The damage done by such a belief is to destroy your belief in Yeshua. God’s wrath is what happens after the end of the trib. (the 7 bowls)
There will be nothing wonderful about the trib; Satan will be wroth, and the saints are who will pay for it. It says that they will kill us.
We stopped believing in the pre-trib rapture in the ‘80s. WHen you cannot defend a viewpoint without having to lean on commentaries (of men) and say that a certain word in this particular instance means something it rarely means in Scripture at all was just too ridiculous.I’d grown up believing it, too! But I could not defend it when I tried to. We see the pre-trib view as having decimated the power of the church. When you think a Scripture doesn’t pertain to you, you feel you can ignore the consequences of it, but you do at your own peril. Most Americans await a pre-trib rapture that is not coming. Their faith will be sorely tried when they find themselves in the middle of the “week”, when Antichrist reveals himself by desecrating the temple, then they are going to feel betrayed. This is why Paul warned us to study, to show ourselves approved unto God, to be ready for anything.
To speak of any view other than the pre-trib position is to be considered a heretic in most churches. Not so in other countries, though. Unless they have a Bible that has a lot of American commentaries in them. If they just have a native language, straight translation Bible, they tend to believe that the rapture comes at the 6th seal, just before the 7 trumpets and the 7 bowl judgments. We lived overseas for 25.5 years. (In Turkey for 6 years!)
Praise God. The verse that is mystifying to me is "not one hair on your head will be harmed". You think he is talking about what happened in Daniel?
The Rapture of the Church is not the Resurrection! It is the “alive in Christ” joining the “already dead in Christ” in the air. Since the timing of the Last Days is pretty well set after the breaking of the First Seal, i.e. the revelation of the Anti-Christ, the only way that the day and the hour can be unknown to all but the Father is for it to happen before the First Seal is broken.
However, as I said before, believe what you want to believe. I take comfort in these words.
Matthew 24 (New King James Version)
No One Knows the Day or Hour
36 But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven,[e] but My Father only.
37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.
41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.
42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour[f] your Lord is coming.
43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
1 Thessalonians 4 (New King James Version)
The Comfort of Christs Coming
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.[b]
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Your misinterpretation of my very simple statement that the end result (salvation, and God’s Kingdom) will be wonderful tells me that you have a reading comprehension problem. That tends to make me think you might be wrong about other things you’ve read.
Your brusk manner in attacking someone you don’t know tells me you have a problem with “telling the truth in love”.
Your characterization that I have called God a liar is beyond the pale. If I am wrong, it is because of a misunderstanding, not because I think God is a liar. I am mature enough to admit that I do not know everything that God will bring about. And don’t give me the canned answer that it is plain for all to see - many theological scholars more intelligent than either of us have disagreed for many years over the exact unfolding of the end time.
Your manner does not attract civil discussion. If you are saved, I’ll see you in Heaven, brother, because I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and He died for my sins. He didn’t say I had to properly lay out the end times in order to get there.
Take the chip off your shoulder. It hurts your witness.
