The use of the term “foreign superpower” by the author is telling. The USA receding off the world scene is making the planet far more dangerous.
Weren’t the Japanese doing the same thing 30 years ago?
I think we are going to find out all too soon.
Well, duh; converting soon-to-be-worthless dollars into physical assets. Land, the new gold. When will the commercials start?
And may suffer the same economic return, God willing.
Yes but not often reported at that time was the Dutch were buying more of the US than the Japanese ever did.
Thank you...my very thought.
Will China pull a Putin in USA?
Outrageous and totally stupid on our part.
No, I don’t like the idea - but at the same time I do remember the Japanese buying up everything in sight a while back.
Uhmmm K. You know me, don’t take this personally.
So!?!???
Let em buy the land. Are they going to take it back to Kommie land?
Of course not.
The land is purchased under United State law and will remain a part of our sovereign control...forever.
The Chinese, like the Japanese before them are investing in America.
That land and the buildings will be used to put American dollars in circulation and put Americans to work.
Australia, Canaduh, The UK own large amounts of real estate in America
Hell , we are always a good bet and great return on investment.
BTW, the Netherlands(crappy, tiny little country that also owns Nestled) owns a huge amount of our land and is in the top 3 of foreign investors in our real estate.
Amazing such a dinky country owns as much as they do but, that is due in large part to the leadership of Queen Beatrix and diversification of investments around the globe.
Here is a quick rundown of foreign ownership in Murica:
.
Canadian investors own the most reported foreign held agricultural and non-agricultural land, with 28 percent, or 7,250,834 acres. Foreign persons from the Netherlands own 19 percent, Germany owns 7, the United Kingdom owns 6 and Portugal owns 5. Together, 9,511,437 acres or 36 percent of foreign-held acres are owned by individuals or entities from these countries.

Yes. Back in the '80s and probably even earlier, it was the Japanese who were beating us in business and buying up buildings, land, shopping centers etc from coast to coast.
WE were taught that the Japanese described American business tactics as: "Ready, fire, aim." Ah, those were the days when competition still existed. Now, Japanese cars are as accepted as "ours," and the Chinese have all the business advantages because our companies chose to hand it to them.
Oh!!
The website in the OP is selling the #1 product on the world.
It outsells porn and many other products.
What is their product? Schtick? Hook?
Well, it’s “FEAR”.
Understable, given they are hocking end of the world or mere SHTF services and other stuff.
They are not The brightest bulbs and fairly dull knives.
Just not very good tools among all the choices for tools you need.
I’d read them more for entertainment and the occasional nugget of true value.
But, I would suggest Survivalblog.com as an alternative.
Much more pragmatic and delivers actual information and tools you can use to prepare for your future.
Unlike the Japanese, the Chinese are actually sending their families over here to live and go to school, and have a safe place to bailout if they need to.
Can they?
LOL!!!
Not even possible.
Murica is so much more powerful than China in every area you can think of.
Fine by me.
They’ll earn American Dawyers and spend American Loot in American cities.
We win....period.
It’s not like they are moochers, like border brothers and unlike them, they’ll be coming here legally.
They reward our people who support ...
1....Gun Control
2....Special economic Zones
3....Debase Military
4....Destabilize Mexico
5....Restrict Alaskan Oil Removal
Tech...Theft...of course...already evident...Mexcico for staging.
I at this time I agree with the synopsis presented... it already is written....In the apathy, greed, and hedonism of the American people and the Ruthless, unyielding and indifferent National Identity of the Chinese.
In my estimation about 1/3 of U.S. are still contributing to the structure that created our country...it involved work...and honesty...and internal reward....The top third...”Seeped in hedonism” is busy laughing at the stupid workers in their factories ....hating the evil criminals at the bottom......the Bottom third “seeped in hedonism” is busy..looking for ways to take from the middle and hating the evil 1%ers.
The people who just want to live a good peaceful life with a happy family....are a smaller group every day.
I know people who have never had a real job who like to say “Root Hog OR Die”
I know people who have never had a real job who like to say “Eat the Rich”
Im tired of both ends...its the middle that built this country .....its the middle that both ends depend on for survival.....If the middle continues to shrink...in less than 10 yrs....It may not be U.S. living here.imo
Oh Well
There is a slight difference between what Japan did and what the Chinese are doing now. Was Japan threatening to nuke us in the 1980s? China has other designs on us besides investment. I don’t know what they are, but they are not our friend, and not a friendly competitor.
I’m less bothered by Chinese buying land than I am by the prospect that they will use this land to resettle part of their enormous population.
Remember how buying overpriced US real estate worked out for Japan?
What China is doing is different and appears more like laying the ground work for colonization. We already have a fifth column of Chinese in this country who are not Americans in anything but a technical sense. Don’t forget the tens of thousands of Chinese anchor babies that have citizenship but are still in China.
