What should be done with a 29-year-old welfare parasite that believes that in addition to practicing with his rock band, his main job in life is to "make sure the sun's up and the girls are out"? Most people that receive government assistance truly need the help and do not abuse the system, but there are definitely others that do abuse the system and do not make any excuses for doing so. When 29-year-old Jason Greenslate was recently asked if he would be willing to take a job driving a truck in North Dakota for $80,000 a year, he said that he would not. He would rather keep purchasing sushi and lobster with his EBT card and hanging out with his rock band. Greenslate seems very happy with his taxpayer-funded lifestyle, and he says that he wants "to thank the United States of America, and the situation the way things are set up". Is this really what we pay taxes for? The rest of us are taxed into oblivion so that we can fund the endless partying of parasites like Jason Greenslate? What in the world is happening to this country?
PING!!
HIM
OFF.
I’m not sure what will be worse for this country... that it has a huge economic crash or that it never crashes and more of these slugs continue to flourish forever without consequences.
parasite cleanse recommended.
“I don’t want to work, I just want to bang on the drum all day.”
loser.
To be honest I wouldn’t work either. If I had a government that gave me money to live why on earth would I ever want a job? Live at the beach, surf all day, eat good food, with some taxpaying chump picking up the tab... That’s the life baby!
You can thank the Federal Reserve for this.
The guy who posts occasionally and points out that it is the root of big government is correct.
He is not a man, he has no character or need of a feeling of self worth, he is lower than an animal, because even an animal needs to feel productive. This being will leave no mark on the earth of it's passing nor will it be mourned.
If what you say is true, and reflects how you really feel, as opposed to your being sarcastic...then you would be no better than he is.
That opportunity...to be sucked in by the government dole and rendered a drone and useful idiot at the expense of those who are willing to work...is available to you if you want it and believe you could be like him.
But it will only be a temporary “fix.”
For any of those who willingly, and knowingly, take such a path... remember the words of Sam Adams,
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!”
Lol.. money for nothing......
Btw. 80K? More than I make, and I’m an attorney.
“Most people that receive government assistance truly need the help and do not abuse the system”
Bullshit.
/sorry, mods, it is the only apt term
Readers Digest April 2014
Three guys are fishing when an angel appears. The first guy says. “I’ve suffered from back pain for years. Can you help me?” The angel touched the man’s back and he feels instant relief.
The second guy points to his thick glasses and begs for a cure for his poor eyesight.
When the angel tosses the lenses into the lake, the man gains 20/20 vision.
As the angel turns to the third fellow, he instantly recoils and screams “Don’t touch me! I’m on disability!”
While it is possible to nominally make $80k a year driving, a big chunk of that gets eaten up by expenses and taxes, so 80k minus taxes puts it down to around 55k, then expenses chop a bunch more off that. The net I think ends up being something just over 40k a year, for the privilege of only seeing your family once every 2 weeks for a couple of days. And that’s driving for one of the really big companies; the Owner-operator route pays a higher gross, but you pay your own fuel which really eats into your profit.
As my Late Mother always said, “you help people who CAN’T help themselves, not people who WON’T help themselves”.
My Father, who will be 91 tomorrow, was a little less PC. Refer to my Tagline for his take on the matter.
My thoughts exactly. Ya beat me to it.
I’m almost to the point where my stand is that anyone who can neither produce nor do anything that is of monetary worth to anyone else deserves to starve in the woods somewhere unless their own kin or church wants to support them.
I wish Mr Greenslate wishes for the greatest success with his band. I understand from the interview that the band has finished recording an album and is about to release it.
I’d love to see Mr. Greenslate become successful so that he can move into a high federal tax bracket, and a high CA tax bracket, and pay all of the other taxes, fees, health insurance, and the like associated with success in today’s America. Maybe at the end of the day, after the government has taken away 60% or more of his earnings in order to support a legion of Greenslate followers, he will start to appreciate how little of their successes his current supporters are able to enjoy.
The sad thing is...if he read your post he wouldn’t have a clue what you are saying.
